I would highly recommend a place to anybody and anyone of my friends. The staff has been very, very friendly with me and very secure easy access right off The freeway about 2 miles or less they’re very knowledgeable. I’m not sure the gentleman they have been at the front desk when I came in. I want to say Rob or Bob older gentleman. He is super nice very polite very professional. Got me into my unit within 30 minutes. I can’t say Enough good things about this place honestly it’s been one of the best choices that for storage That I’ve have had I currently own mini units and the pricing at the facility is very affordable. I would recommend everyone to check them out.

Told the manager that his trucks steering was very bad while I had it and I couldn’t take it on the interstate so I took backroads since I needed to get my move done, which took longer. I was told I wouldn’t be charged more and that they would look at the truck. Now I’m being charged an additional 50$, I should make a case for my money back. TRUCKS ARE IN ROUGH SHAPE.

When I first moved my things in, I was worried about break-ins due to the location. The worker told me most thefts happen from people you know. (keep that in mind) Fast forward, I find out that someone I recently broke up with (not a pretty break up) was trying to get into my unit because some of his things were in there. I reached out to that person directly saying, I am not comfortable him having access while I'm not there, for safety reasons of my own belongings. Said we can set up a time for him to grab things with me present to make sure nothing of mine is damaged or stolen. I call the office directly informing the worker of what is going on, and that this person does NOT have my permission to access the unit. I am the only one on the lease, the one paying them money to store my things in there. He assures me that he is legally not allowed to give this person access due to the fact he is not on the lease agreement. Assures me that my storage unit is safe. I call back a little bit later asking for an update, he said that he turned him away, and he left. Im relieved thinking he helped protect my unit and belongings. I come to find out later on, that he lied to me, broke the law, and let him into my unit because he felt for the guy, and "understood" the situation. My ex couldve lied, he doesnt know this person, nor the situation, he couldve just told the worker what he wanted to hear to gain his trust and understanding. The worker has no idea who he is!! Due to this I feel completely disrespected, I do not feel safe or comfortable storing my things in this storage facility, and will be relocating to a different company where I know my belongings are in good hands. Most thefts are from someone you know, and they gave someone I know and DIDNT TRUST access to my unit against my direct wishes. Behind my back.

I rented a unit at Portland Avenue Storage for less than one month, and during that short time there was a leak in the ceiling that caused water damage to my belongings. This was clearly a facility issue. Management was notified immediately and stated they would look into compensation or a resolution. Despite waiting and following up, nothing was ever done. No compensation, insurance guidance, and no real effort to make it right. Things can happen, but how a business responds is what matters. Unfortunately, Portland Avenue Storage showed zero accountability when their building caused damage to a customer’s property. If you care about your belongings and expect a company to stand behind their facility, I strongly suggest renting elsewhere.
