However, I was disappointed that he used the bathroom in our Airbnb guest cottage without asking first (or telling me afterwards). Thankfully, I happened to check the cottage before our guests arrived and caught it. The cottage had already been thoroughly cleaned and prepared for arriving guests, so after he used the toilet, I had to clean and sanitize the bathroom all over again. He also left used toilet paper in the wastebasket. I have no problem with someone asking to use a restroom, but because this is a private Airbnb space that had already been prepared for guests, I really feel he should have asked permission before using the bathroom so that I would be aware that another cleaning would have to be done.
