  On Guard Mini Storage has been a dependable, well‑maintained place to store my belongings for years. The facility is always clean, organized, fairly priced, and consistently cared for. What truly elevates this location is the customer service — especially from Tammy. My work schedule is hectic, and I access my unit several times a week. No matter the time of day or how busy she is, she always checks in, makes sure I’m taken care of, and manages everything with a warm, professional attitude. She multitasks effortlessly while still making every customer feel seen. Her consistency and genuine care are the reason I continue to store here, even after moving closer to other facilities. I’ve referred friends and coworkers based on her service alone. I’ve never experienced any pest issues, and management provides preventative repellent in each unit at move‑in. I’m here often and speak with many other renters, and none of us have had problems, so a recent comment about rodents doesn’t reflect what I’ve seen. If anything ever did come up, I know Tammy would address it immediately. This is a clean, safe, reliable facility — and Tammy’s exceptional customer service is what sets it apart!!

  I was highly disappointed with my experience at On Guard Storage, particularly with the level of professionalism and how serious issues were handled. From the beginning, my experience did not match what I was told to expect. At move-in, I had been told I would have a drive-up unit. Instead, accessing my unit required maneuvering around a pillar and moving my belongings through a hallway. I was also offered use of a moving truck, which should have been a helpful benefit. However, when I arrived at the scheduled time, the truck was not ready and was filled with lawn waste. My move was delayed by more than an hour, and when I was finally able to use the truck, I was left dealing with a vehicle that had not been properly cleaned or prepared for a customer. The most upsetting issue came when I moved out and discovered evidence of a significant mouse infestation in my unit. My sofa and ottoman were ruined, several other belongings were damaged, and there was a pile of an unknown substance on the sofa. I then had to spend hours carefully cleaning and sanitizing my belongings because mouse droppings are a health hazard. When I brought this to the manager's attention, she initially appeared shocked. I was then told that my insurance should cover the damage, with no reimbursement offered by the facility for my destroyed belongings or the substantial inconvenience involved. Eventually, I was told her supervisor would refund the unused remainder of that month's rent. While I appreciated that gesture, it did not come close to addressing the cost of replacing my sofa and ottoman, the damage to my other belongings, or the hours I spent cleaning and sanitizing everything. I understand that storage facilities cannot prevent every possible problem. What I do expect, however, is a reasonable level of care, clear communication, and an appropriate response when a customer's property is damaged while being stored at the facility. Based on my experience—from the problems on move-in through the condition of my unit at move-out and management's response—I cannot recommend On Guard Storage.

  The staff over at On Guard storage are the best of the best! Always helpful, attentive and friendly. They are locally owned and operated, not like the other places around Olympia. When the big orange public place kept raising our rates, 5 years in a row, enough was enough. I called On Guard and they had several units in the size we needed. Signed a lease that day, and they held true to their word about not raising rates....they stayed the same for 2 years! So do yourself a favor if you're looking for storage....go here!

  The staff at On Guard has been so helpful to us. We were quickly given a storage unit and able to move our excess boxes when we arrived in Olympia. Their customer service is of the highest quality. I would recommend them to anyone who needs extra space.
