❌ Toxic Customer Service & Defiant Management – Avoid This Pro Desk Longview Washington Lowe's.
I had an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience at this Lowe's location, specifically dealing with an employee named Monica at the Pro Desk and the Manager on Duty. What should have been a simple, 2-minute transaction turned into an exercise in passive-aggressive behavior and poor leadership.
Here is exactly how the interaction went down:
The Initial Request: I was purchasing a roofing gun and a $9 package of brass fittings. The packaging for the fittings was visibly damaged. Knowing that Lowe's commonly marks down damaged goods to keep inventory moving, I politely asked Monica about a discount. She immediately became flippant, dismissively asking, "Well, is it all in there?" and refusing to help further, telling me to just go ask the cashier.
The Manager’s Sudden Flip: I took my items to the cashier, who called the manager. The cashier appeared ready to authorize a small discount for the open/damaged package. However, Monica intercepted the situation. She walked back over while on the phone, claiming she was speaking to her manager and stated, "We don’t give discounts on any packages like this. This is not a thing here."
The Google Policy Reality Check: It is incredibly frustrating that management chose to back up Monica’s poor attitude instead of practicing basic customer service. Anyone can do a quick Google search and see that Lowe's absolutely has standard system protocols for discounting damaged packaging. The fact that the manager took her side to double down on a flat-out lie over a $9 item is a terrible look for store leadership.
Passive-Aggressive Behavior: Instead of leaving it at that, Monica went to the back and brought me another package of the same fittings—which was also completely split open and wrapped up in clear tape. When I pointed out that this package was also compromised and raised a valid point about product tampering and safety, she just gave me a glaring look.
The Sarcastic Finale: She then marched back, grabbed four pristine, undamaged packages, slammed them down, and sarcastically told me to "take my pick."
The sheer pettiness from Monica, combined with a manager who would rather enable a toxic power trip than look up their own company policies, is completely unacceptable. I am a regular customer, and to be treated with such blatant hostility over a basic question is disgraceful. Management at this store seriously needs a lesson in basic customer etiquette and policy training.

Went this morning to buy a fridge and dishwasher. The 3 ladies working didn't acknowledge us once the 20 minutes we were there. They were too busy talking about what they did last night. We walked right past the service desk on our way out and still zero acknowledgement. Pathetic

I have never left a negative review but feel that it’s necessary in this case. We ordered a washer and dryer from Lowe’s in Longview and after multiple days taken off work to wait on a delivery that never showed, going back in to the store to talk to a manager, and calls to Lowe’s to allow them to fix the issue, I was always put off and never called back. I was assured several times that someone would call and they never did. Not one person took responsibility and helped fix the issue, there was always blame placed on someone else. We were very patient and allowed Lowe’s multiple opportunities to make it right. They never did. It took two months to fulfill our order either because of fulfillment issues or delivery issues. We were not refunded for the orders they canceled. I called customer service to get a refund after waiting for 6 weeks- they told me I would have to wait on a call to receive a refund. It was an absolute nightmare. I will never ever order from them again.
