We have a mission: Help people make coffee they love! Part of the way we do that is opening retail locations, so you can mosey on in and test as many machines as you'd like before purchasing. Not only do we have a wide selection of equipment set up for customer demos, but you'll also have a chance to talk with our awesome (trust us, they're pretty cool) coffee experts who can help you make a selection. Or, if you already have a machine or other caffeine-providing setup, you can attend our vendor events, coffee tastings, classes and how-to workshops. The possibilities are endless!
I love the products at Seattle Coffee Gear in Kirkland and have always been happy with the quality of what I’ve purchased. Unfortunately, my recent experience in store really changed my impression of the company.
What bothered me most was seeing the management team treat an older coworker in a rude and condescending way right in front of customers. The tone and attitude toward him were uncomfortable to witness and honestly disappointing. No employee deserves to be spoken to like that.
On top of that, the in store prices didn’t match the prices listed on the website, and when I asked about price matching, I was met with eye rolls and an attitude like I was inconveniencing them. Instead of trying to help, the staff acted annoyed that I even brought it up.
I still love the products themselves, but the customer service and workplace culture I witnessed left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope management takes a serious look at how employees and customers are being treated.

Throughly read the return policy if you are purchasing from this company. I really wanted to support Seattle Coffee Gear because I prefer supporting smaller businesses over large online retailers whenever possible. Unfortunately, my experience with their return policy was extremely disappointing.
I purchased a stovetop coffee pot for around $50 that ultimately just wasn’t the right fit for me. While the item included free shipping at checkout I later found out that returning it meant reimbursing the company for their original shipping cost $(20), paying for return shipping myself, and being charged a 20% restocking fee.
By the time everything was added up, the return would have cost nearly $40 on a $50 item, which feels excessive and unreasonable. If your return policy is this strict they should make it more clear at check out instead of a tiny link at the bottom of the page.
What made it even more frustrating was that the item took over a week to arrive, yet I was told the original shipping cost was around $20 for a relatively small coffee pot. That pricing simply doesn’t seem justified.
I completely understand businesses needing return policies, but this one feels far too punitive for customers, especially from a company positioned as a premium retailer.

Seattle Coffee Gear was, without exaggeration, one of the most worrying experiences I've ever had as a consumer.
I bought a product advertised as new, but the item received showed clear signs of use/reconditioning. To make matters worse, the machine is not working properly.
When I had the misfortune to be able to talk to support, my return request was simply ignored. Instead of offering a solution, they made the whole process difficult, using answers full of technical terms and without objectivity, clearly avoiding solving the problem.
After new contact attempts, my emails began to return, making any communication impossible - something completely unacceptable.
The most serious point: the product packaging came with the complete information of another customer, including name, address and phone number. This represents a serious privacy breach and demonstrates extreme negligence in the processing of personal data.
This type of situation is not a simple mistake - it's the kind of problem that puts consumers at risk.
Given all this, it is difficult to trust a company that does not even guarantee the basics: transparency, support and data security.
I don't recommend it. If this happened to me, it can happen to anyone.

Regret the dozens of times I walked by this spot without going inside. Today, I broke that streak and fell in love! The gear is great, but the selection of coffee and the ability to taste 3 as espresso or pour over lets you explore the world of coffee in a unique way.

Order coffee on April 3rd. As of April 11, still not even shipped. Looks like it will take at least two weeks before I receive it. Way too long for fresh coffee. manager looking into delay, but still hasn’t gotten back to me. Way below my expectations.
