    Update on Claim below: Still no joy. Over 6 weeks past the dishwasher first leaking. Had to threaten litigation to even get a call back back. They are still stalling. Assurant, Inc. is the partner that handles protection plans, extended warranties and support services for Lowe's Companies, Inc. they are deep in the middle of this. Lowes Store #0397 Major Dishwasher Install Problem & Lack of Warranty Service Lowe's Companies, Inc. As of this date and time the problem has not been addressed,  To my or my wife's satisfaction. -An extended warranty on an appliance is insurance, if there is a problem it should be repaired or replaced within the warranty period. Timeline: -Bosch Dishwasher leaked after about 4 years, still fully under 5 year warranty. -Appliance Repair Person could not remove dishwasher said it was our problem to remove it. We had originally paid to have Lowe's own installers do the install. -An email back to us from Lowes said our dishwasher was "Improperly installed". -Attempt to return Dishwasher was declined even though improper installation from day one. -So far we had to order a new dishwasher with install cost and a new warranty. -$1200.00 Bill for dishwasher removal after floor demolition and floor repair on ceramic tile. -I will not go into other damage issues here. -Ted Aschenbrenner Manassas Virginia 20109 Keywords Below are appliances products names or contractor terms etc. that could be relevant in doing due diligence on purchasing.     I ordered several items from Lowe’s for home projects and chose next-day delivery because it seemed like a good value. I placed the order on Friday expecting delivery on Saturday. Saturday came and went with no delivery. I received an apology email saying the new delivery date would be Sunday, which was fine. Things happen. But Sunday passed. Then Monday. Then Tuesday the order status changed to “out for delivery,” and once again nothing showed up. Wednesday and Thursday came with no update, no phone call from the store, and no explanation. On Friday, I called Lowe’s corporate. Nobody seemed to know what had happened, and I was told I would hear back within 24 hours. Saturday came, and still no communication from corporate. At almost exactly the 24-hour mark, I drove to the Bellingham store myself. The counter suggested my delivery may have already been completed — which it absolutely had not. Later that evening, someone from the store finally called and said they were still investigating, but they would cancel and reorder everything so it could be delivered Monday. Then on Sunday, I got another call saying they had figured it out: the third-party delivery driver tried to load my order, could not fit it, and apparently just dumped it back with no explanation or communication. After all of that, Lowe’s still could not get the order to me until Tuesday. At that point, I canceled the order entirely. The most frustrating part is that no one took ownership, no one proactively communicated, and no one seemed to know where my order was for nearly a week. Had I known Lowe’s was outsourcing the delivery to a third party with this level of accountability, I likely would not have chosen delivery in the first place. This experience has cost Lowe’s far more than one order. Once my refund is processed, I will be canceling my Lowe’s credit card and taking my future home improvement purchases elsewhere. It makes me wonder: what is the lifetime value of a customer, and how much future business did Lowe’s lose by relying on a delivery process that completely failed?

    Absolutely the worst place to shop for home improvement. The service at Lowes is horrible. Zero care given by staff, minimal actual knowledge by anyone about building or products, and bad corporate policies. I’ve spoken to management and the attitude and response by staff clearly demonstrate that they don’t care, bound by corporate jargon and no empowerment. As an avid DIY’er, frequent home improvement spender and service advocate - I can’t stress enough how much better the completion is. Avoid pain, frustration and issues by shopping at Home Depot, Ace or a local supplier.
