  I have waited for the dust to settle, after completing this last project. I had gone back to Lowes/Essex as I had had good luck from the Pro Desk in ordering up Trex decking material. But, Ed Thompson has retired, and Michael Currier was busy, so they put a trainee with me. Now I don't mind helping Lowes employees to a point, but.....before I was out of the store, he looked me up and told me the variation that we wanted was no longer available, which I knew as a new product for Trex and found it hard to believe, but couldn't verify at that point. After a few days I got his quote, that contained several glaring errors, 13 railing kits, not 8 as requested. 9' sleeves @ $172 each, not the $75 that Lowes advertises them at. Some missing items, but basically about $1000 off..... I called in, asked to speak with someone more familiar with Trex, I was told the Pro Desk supervisor would call me back. ( to this day I have not heard from him!) After a couple more days I called Lowes customer care, they patched me thru to the Store Manager's assistant, but of course no one answers the phone and no option to leave a message. So I called again, the folks up front put me thru to Jason in Windows and Doors, he asked that I email him all pertinent info, and I sent him Trex parts numbers and Lowes Item number when available. After a couple more days of not hearing, I called and left a message which he returned and told me that he had plugged in the same info that the trainee had and got the same "bad" info back, garbage in , garbage out. Not sure why he asked me to email all the info, if he wasn't serious about using it. Anyway, at this point I'd given up on Lowes/Essex and decided it was time to move on. Still being a fan of Lowes, in general, I called Lowes S. Burlington, and had a completely different experience. Great customer service and very responsive.

  Went here and bought a dishwasher. They offered the lowes card and some type of extra discount for getting signed up as well as a period of no interest financing. Months later I check in on where payments are at expecting it to be essentially paid off and turns out all the 'no interest' was deferred interest and we needed to have it paid in full by a certain date. We signed up for automatic payments so we thought it would be paid in full but that wasn't the case. The payment plan they set us up on would have had it paid off over 7 years for a total cost more than double what the dishwasher cost. Because it wasn't paid in full within 6-12 months or whatever they back charged us all the interest they didn't charge before. On top of this the interest they're charging is like 36%, and this is without even missing or being late on a single payment. WHAT A FRIGGIN SCAM!!!

  Would never go there again. You can attempt to “buy local” and “support local jobs,” but the fact that a manager reads off a policy and doesn’t focus on the customer’s needs, it’s better to shop at Amazon and make Jeff Bezos a trillionaire already.

  Product availability was good, but I had to go to a competitor to finish my shopping list. The pro desk yes good and helpful.

  I purchased bags of mulch from this Lowe’s store. When I opened one of the bags, there were hundreds of live ants and ant eggs inside. The ants scattered everywhere, and it was very upsetting. I contacted Lowe’s corporate to report what happened and asked for assistance with the additional products I needed, but never received a response. I was disappointed with both the product and the lack of follow-up. Since then, I’ve been dealing with persistent ant problems in my garden, and despite trying everything I can think of, I have not been able to get rid of them. I have also been dealing with other pests affecting my plants. It has been exhausting, discouraging and upsetting to watch my flowers struggle. I wish the company had responded to my concerns and tried to make the situation right.
