Buy local, you’ll appreciate it if things so south.
We purchased a refrigerator. It was delivered and the freezer stopped working on day three. Thankfully we purchased it on the Lowe’s credit card and could return it within the 30-day window, otherwise we would have been stuck with a bad frig. If you use a non-lowe’s credit card, you have two days to return the frig.
The soonest they could delivered a replacement frig was two weeks. It arrived damaged. We returned both broken frigs.
When the frig was returned, they credited the wrong amount.
The subcontractor who picked up the frig damaged our doorframe and wall.
I spend numerous hours being put on hold, talking to people who weren’t able to help, bounced around on the phone, and going in person to try to get resolution. I’m actually on hold now for waiting for someone to figure out the credit error. I gave it two stars instead of one star because there were many very kind people who tried to help.
We ended up going to a local business and purchasing a frig. It cost more, but I dealt with two people and it was significantly less stressful.

I like this Lowe's and I buy a lot here, but I want to share an experience I had this morning at 9AM.
I am early to garden center. The door is closed. No problem. I go looking for a platform cart. None in the garden center. No problem. I go inside and look at the first front door to see if I can see one there. I knew there were others at the other front door. At the first front door, a lady is vacuuming. She says something like "what are you looking for?" I said "cart." She points me out that door. I said "no thank you." She says "that's where they are" or something similar and points again. I start walking away and she gives me a dirty look. I flipped her off and because she kept looking nasty, I held that finger up again as I walked away so she knew I did not want anymore or her "help."
I am hearing impaired.
I cannot make myself understood or understand a person over the sound of a vacuum cleaner. And that woman didn't turn it off. She insisted on talking to over the sound of the vacuum and told me that I was wrong to not do what she thought I wanted.
After I walked away, I went to the door where I had seen the platform cart. I got it and returned to the garden center and got my bags of mulch.
Now, I am nearly 50 and that may be a little young for some people to assume I have a hearing impairment or that I can't just read lips while walking because I have a vestibular disorder—however, when the customer says they don't want your help—sometimes, you need to just respectfully accept their right to look for things without you making their disabilities an issue when they almost never are to anyone anywhere except when someone is rude and presumptuous.
And if you feel you have to speak to someone, turn off the vacuum cleaner even if they aren't hearing impaired. Or keep it on and leave them be.

I’ll share details on today’s visit. Got there to get Indoor/ outdoor carpet cut to size. $150 found out at the end, not what I expected to spend but did!!! Heather was sighing many times while telling me “she’s back from vacation, has to run 5 depts!!!sigh, jumping on me that I could of ordered on line, someone would have it cut before I got there. I didn’t know I was even going to Lowe’s, should’ve looked somewhere else!!!She was so not customer friendly.
My daughter was there to help me not to leave, I almost did. Linda up front was very supportive and helpful and understood that she had to put the numbers in the computer and manage 4 other customers while I tried to pay!!! While an older gentleman was over by the tools not helping anyone! Bad experience and not impressed to go there again!!! Someone must have killed her with kindness on her vacation

Think I am done with Lowe's, got scammed on a battery operated leaf blower last week....twice. The Kobalt Gen4 40-volt 520-CFM 120 MPH Battery Operated Handheld blower was on sale for $79 or so it appeared. I tried ordering it twice on two separate days, and my order was immediately cancelled both times with no explanations. Feels like the old bait and switch crap retailers used to pull years ago and apparently it's still alive and well.
