    I bought a john deere s130 lawn mower at the lowes location on main street in Suffolk, va. Encountered the following problems: 1. It’s a 2024 not a 2026 and is missing features such as led headlights that are advertised in the product description. 2. It was missing a front bumper, as advertised in the product description, but john deere, unlike lowes corrected 3. Missing the owner’s packet and second key, but john deere, unlike lowes corrected 4. Due to sitting for two years, immediately needed an oil change 5. Seat bolts were loose, with one about halfway out, causing a safety concern 6. Compartment door is broken, no resolution so far 7. Under the seat is a price tag that says $2899, not the $2999 I was charged (before my discount 8. Stickers are peeling and there’s sun fading on the control surfaces from sitting in the weather for two years 9. There’s over spray on the plastic pieces on the mower deck where it looks like the store tried to poorly cover up damage. Then Lowes customer service refused to price match because of a military discount. So i paid the 2026 price for a 2024 mower. Little bit of a bait and switch. Poor customer service.

    The difference between Home Depot and Lowe's is award-winning customer service and, of course, low prices. But what really stood out during my visit was "Debbie and Simone" in the paint department. Some people clock in and do a job… and then there are people like Debbie and Simone in the Paint Department at Lowe’s who completely redefine what customer service is supposed to look like. Let me tell you something—these two don’t just mix paint, they mix excellence, patience, and straight-up professionalism into every single interaction. From the moment I walked up, they treated me like I mattered. Not rushed, not brushed off, not given that “aisle 12” treatment—no. They listened. They asked questions. They made sure I got exactly what I needed, not just what was easiest to grab off the shelf. Debbie? Knowledgeable, calm, and clearly a master of her craft. A smile that could light up any room. Even her "blue hair" is eye-catching. A beautiful soul that takes pride in her craft. You can tell she’s seen it all and still shows up ready to help like it’s day one. And Simone? Energy, precision, and customer care on another level. The kind of person who makes you feel confident about your project before you even leave the store. Together, they are a powerhouse. The chemistry, the teamwork, the attention to detail—it’s rare. They didn’t just help me pick paint… they helped me get it right. And that matters. Lowe’s—if you’re paying attention—THIS is what excellence looks like on the floor. These are the people you hold onto, recognize, and reward. Because Debbie and Simone aren’t just doing a job… they’re elevating your entire brand. Give them their flowers. They earned every single one.

    Been to this store awhile back and had nothing but problems, I waited for the person who was supposed to be working in the seasonal section for over 40 minutes and come to find out she was off in another department just talking to her friend about her personal life, if you wanna talk about that do it after work or on your break, also it very unprofessional for the employees to be clowning around while on the clock and on the sales floor I saw one put a box with a face she drew on her head and posed for a picture, the biggest problem I had was that your department supervisor named Mitch smelled of alcohol and got on equipment smelling of it. This store has really become a picture of unprofessionalism and safety problems, I started going to a different store an hour away it may take more gas but I prefer professionalism and safety over what ever this store has become.

    I’d leave zero stars if I could. We purchased a washer and dryer set here and had it installed. At the time of the installation we were told we could return it within 30 days if we were not satisfied. It’s only been 2 weeks and the washer is already falling apart. When we contacted the store they said no you have to go through warranty and that would take 2 more weeks . Basically we were sold junk and then lied to and now they’re just trying to pass the buck. DO NOT SHOP HERE and if you do, do not believe what they tell you.
