    Ordered a therma-tru front door in Feb said it would take 6 weeks April door was delivered to lowes when I went to purchase the door it was damaged ordered another door this only took 3 weeks this time so I went to purchase the door from lowes and it was the same damn door really not only did you look stupid selling me the same door I done buying big items in this lowes

    They desperately need a new customer help line or better yet have an actual human being answer their phones. After having called them 8 times this afternoon and the virtual assistant sending me to the wrong department or not understanding my request, leaving me on hold for 27 minutes, and then disconnecting the call. All I'm trying to speak with someone to answer a question. If they are "recording this call for training purposes" then I hope they find a better teacher!! Severely agitated!! Kelly Martin

    I have had so many problems in the past with this particular store. They don’t want to help you with anything and usually don’t even have the people to help you with anything. Sunday I went only to pick up a few screws cause I don’t buy much more than that at the store anymore. I could not find what I needed and knew that I did need help. There was no one around so I went to the desk over by the professional section. I asked The woman behind the desk if she could send someone to help me and she said OK. I waited and waited and waited and waited and finally gave up. I know it wasn’t a big sale but they’ll never have a big sale for me anymore anyway. I take all my sales elsewhere and have for the last five years, this is the type of service that I’ve had for the last eight or nine years. Anytime I need something more than a screw. I would drive to Roanoke and shop there. I guess now I need to shop there even when I’m buying a screw.

    The lack of communication at this store is completely unacceptable. Purchased a lawn mower a month ago and was told it would be ready to pick up after a few days. Fast forward to now and they still can’t tell me when it would be ready. I get that things happen and they are dependent on an outside company to assemble it at the store but that’s no excuse to not regular keep the customer in the loop. Now I’m still stuck with no mower and a credit card I regret signing up for and am never going to use.

    Subsequent update: This has gotten worse. They sent Servpro to install the carpet and they have rescheduled twice, one of which I already taken vacation to be available to grant access to the house. When the installer finally arrived, they removed a bunch of things from my garage with my permission for lay down space to cut the carpet. After being onsite all day they left house with only carpet padding and tac strips on the floor exposed and left everything they had removed from the garage outdoor. When i called Servpro, they informed me the installers the belt on their carpet binder broke and that they would not return for 2 weeks. Now my kids and animals are exposed to tac strips and staples. In speaking to lowe's associates as high as an assistant store manager I have been informed there is nothing they can do. I have asked to speak to a store manager again and still have not heard back from the last time I ask to do so. I still do not have an answer on how Lowe's plans to resolve this issue. This has been one of the most disappointing installation experiences with any retailer I have ever had. Original Post: I ordered carpet from the Rocky Mount, VA location on Mar 19th. I was primarily drawn to thier lead time for installation. I was confirmed for installation for Apr 6th and was instructed to have all furniture removed for the installer. I arranged and paid $800 for movers to move furniture out on Apr 3rd (the last business day prior to install) and after all furniture was removed, a representative from the installer called me and told me the carpet wasn't available, that they would reschedule the carpet install. They projected an install date between Apr 15th and 21st. I was called back on the 8th by the installer and informed the earliest possible install date was now May 6th. In the interim my kids have been and are sleeping on a hardwood floor and furniture is all over the place in our main living area. Had I been informed prior to the end of the last business day before the install I could have delayed the moving company. I called to request to put the furniture back for the children and for Lowe's to cover the expenses and an associate declined. I asked and was declined the option to speak to any managers on duty at the store location. If this is not resolved and expenses are covered or the install isn't pulled up drastically I will not be doing business with Lowe's in the future and I will be sharing my experience with friends and family so they can avoid being put in the same position.
