- CDC DDMay 2, 20262.0So disappointed in their new policy, where you have to show your receipt for return. I always put in my phone number, because we have a military discount, and since their software change over, there have been many many issues regarding receiving an email receipt. I bought three azaleas in the fall for $30 each. Two of them died. I tried to return the two that died, but could not find my receipt via my phone number/email. This was just after their software system changeover. I was told I could not get a store credit or a credit to my payment method without a receipt because my payment method did not show up either. Long story short, they could not even escalate this to management to give me a store credit. They said without any receipt or any record in their system, which is faulty due to the software change over, they could not and would not give me a credit so I am now $60 down. I have spent over $100,000 at this particular store and they want to irritate me over $60. Wow, I guess I’ll go back to Home Depot or local retailers. Local is the way to go in this town. Big box stores do not stand behind their promises.

How about with hardware? Nope. They're with shelves, okay. And the prices are actually higher than ACE now. Unless I need lumber, forget about it. Sad times for Lowes. It is no longer the hardware store of yesterday. It's now just an over priced Walmart without the meat and produce.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
