Robert in plumbing helped me this morning with a toilet issue. I didn't ask for help as I was looking at different options, but he came up and asked what I was looking for/trying to fix. I let him know, he was able to get me the right part, and explained how easily I could do this project myself, without the plumber I had lined up for tonight's repair. Was able to repair within 5 minutes and not have to spend $130 on my plumber, just the $8 from Robert's recommended part. Keep this guy happy! That type of customer service seems like a relic of the past, but I greatly appreciated it. I'll be back!

Extremely Disappointing Lowe’s Pickup Experience — Rude and Unhelpful Staff
This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
I placed an online order with Lowe’s on Friday because the website clearly showed the items as available for Saturday pickup. I waited all day Saturday but never received a pickup notification. I contacted customer service through chat, and they told me the order had been processed and was ready for pickup. They even provided me with a reference number.
I went to the store, only to be told that the order was not ready. When I explained that customer service had told me it was ready, I was basically told to wait because there were still two hours left in the day and that it would be ready within an hour.
It wasn’t.
I waited until Monday afternoon and went back to the store. I had my toddler with me and was asked to wait around 30 minutes while employees helped people who arrived after me. When someone finally started looking into my order, the attitude was extremely rude and unhelpful. There seemed to be very little sense of urgency or willingness to actually help.
After another 30 minutes, I was told that two of the items weren’t even available.
This raises some very basic questions: Why tell a customer that an order is ready when it isn’t? Why promise that it will be ready within an hour when it isn’t even ready two days later? And why does the Lowe’s website say items are available for pickup when the store apparently doesn’t have them?
Mistakes and inventory problems can happen. What made this experience particularly unacceptable was the combination of incorrect information, repeated delays, rude behavior, and what felt like a complete lack of effort from the store staff to resolve a very simple issue.
I ultimately told them I no longer wanted the order because Lowe’s had already wasted enough of my time and I wanted to escalate this to a customer service. Interestingly, the store then cancelled the order themselves without even asking for my approval.
I’ve been a Lowe’s customer before, but after this experience, I’m done. I won’t be ordering from Lowe’s again. I’ll be taking my business to Home Depot from now on.
Customers shouldn’t have to make multiple trips, wait for hours, carry a toddler around a store, and repeatedly chase employees just to find out that the products they ordered were never actually available.

I tried to use my 15% off coupon to buy a toilet, coupon wouldn’t work so they called the manager on duty. He quickly said it won’t work because it’s not valid on appliances. I explained that a toilet is not an appliance, it is a fixture. Deaf ears. I could have escalated it to customer service, but that probably would have been a waste of my time as well. I’ll just buy elsewhere.
