Very frustrating experience with Extra Space Storage. My daughter’s storage unit had the wrong lock placed on it, and the keys they provided did not work. I traveled from New York to Virginia to retrieve her belongings, only to find that I couldn’t access the unit. The manager refused to come out to resolve the issue, so I had to return to New York and make another trip back to Virginia.
When I returned, I was required to pay another $119+ to retrieve her belongings, even though the original problem was caused by the incorrect lock and keys. This was extremely inconvenient and cost me additional time, gas, and money. I expected better customer service and accountability. I hope they reconsider the charge and reimburse me for the expense caused by their mistake.

Incredible 6" rainfall meant water in ALL the lockers. Extra Space reached out to notify us, set up an appointment to inspect, arranged for a fantastic mitigation crew who moved everything out, made sure stuff was treated, had a place to dispose of stuff that could not be saved, and kept following up. They made this disaster not so disastrous. So glad my stuff is with you guys!
