This place is severely understaffed every time that I come and it’s hard to get assistance.
I waited 30 minutes today on aisle 6 trying to have wire cut as the 1 self checkout representative reached out 3 times over the radio for a manager or someone to assist and no one arrived. I ended up having to go to customer service where they apologized for the lack of staff that could assist.
I know it is not the employees faults. Sometimes its more of a staffing issue that could relate back to policies that help the corporation save money.
BRING BACK PEOPLE AT THE REGISTERS AND WALKING AROUND LOOKING TO HELP CUSTOMERS.. I’ll keep my business with HOME DEPOT

I used the online order with in-store pick up option a few times. When ordering more just a handful of items the fulfillment is never accurate and pickup time very long. Essentially the two things that one wants to accomplish are negated. Not that orange is perfect all the time but I'll give them a try next time.

Recently I visited the Newport News, VA location Lowes store and what a difference between it and Hampton, VA location. I needed to return a broken Craftsman rachet that I had and get it swapped for a the exact same model. I was close to Hampton location and thought it would be easy, boy was I misinformed. Their customer service staff could not process the exchange, even though it clearly states craftsman tool exchange on their website and within craftsman service model. They kept looking for some kind of book that never did appear nor did even the manager have in possession. I eventually gave up and went back to Newport News location, where the agents quickly assessed and processed my even tool exchange, all in less than 5 minutes. Clearly Newport News must have the cheat codes when it comes to customer service. Bottom Line... If you need to exchange a qualified craftsman product, Newport News is your location.
