Bad customer service- they do not respond to emails or confirm when service is scheduled. Forces a phone call. The receptionist Carol is very, very rude and condescending.

Fields came out start up my system and never properly completed setup. I've been leaking water since the day they came and this morning, in the middle of water restrictions, had a fountain in my yard. I've called 4 times about this issue, the last time just 2 days ago, and still nothing is done. After 4 calls you'd think someone would come check? They keep sending invoices for work that has yet to be completed - avoid at all costs

Prompt and reliable service. Regular chemical applications keep the lawn looking great. Irrigation services are spot on with startup/winterization and backflow testing. Staff keeps me well informed of scheduling and notifies promptly of any issues that need to be addressed. A great veteran owned, full service lawncare company.

I have used Fields Irrigation for several years now and my yard looks great. I utilize sprinkler system program, fertilizing program, overseeding and leaf pickup services. Jason is great to work with and very knowledgeable about lawn care! Their service and communication is awesome and I would highly recommend them for all their services offered.
Frequently Asked Questions About Fields Irrigation Inc
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we maintain all required licenses and insurance coverage. Virginia state law mandates that contractors carry workers compensation insurance.
VA Contractor License #2705166635
Backflow Prevention Device Worker #2717057311
Pesticide Business License #11861
Commercial Pesticide Applicator 121605-C
Virginia Department of Agriculture Certified Fertilizer Applicator CFA-13382-2306
Is hiring a licensed contractor worth the cost?
When investing in home improvements, you must consider both the immediate project cost and potential expenses if problems occur. Engaging a licensed and insured contractor protects you as the property owner from liability in the event of accidents or errors.
To obtain a State Contractors License, a contractor must demonstrate a minimum level of experience, pass a business management examination, undergo a criminal history background check, and maintain a clean record with no unresolved contracting complaints. Additionally, Virginia law mandates that contractors maintain Workers Compensation Insurance for all employees, which protects you from financial liability if a worker sustains injuries on your property. This protection is essential because your homeowner's insurance typically does not cover these costs. You may verify all contractor licenses through the DPOR website at: http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/LicenseLookup/
Who will work on my property?
Our team consists of thoroughly trained and supervised employees. We carefully screen all personnel to ensure they meet our standards for integrity and quality workmanship. Should any concerns arise, we encourage you to contact Jason or Dawne in our office to discuss the matter directly.
What is a backflow test and why do I need it?
An annual backflow test is a required inspection that verifies no contaminants are entering your drinking water supply. This service must be performed by a licensed backflow prevention device worker who has completed specialized training and passed a competency examination covering cross connection control and backflow prevention. Once we complete the test, we submit the required report to your county utilities office.
What does the irrigation start up include?
We reconnect the backflow device if it was removed for winter storage, pressurize the system, and inspect for leaks. We then activate each zone to check sprinkler heads for damage or leaks and adjust them for optimal coverage. Finally, we perform the state-mandated backflow test.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, we provide a one-year guarantee on all labor. All materials we install are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
