  I really wanted to like JDO pools. They have a professional looking retail location in Kilmarnock, seemed to be experienced (as they also have a Richmond location) and the owner and Staff were nice. They were hired to close and open our pool. Closing went fine. Opening was a disaster: - They arrived late, worked for a couple of hours and left without saying a word. -The bottom of the pool was left filthy with debris. - All valves were left open - Pool heater was left on (don't know why it was turned on) - Skimmer baskets were broken - Circulation nozzles, and pool plugs were installed incorrectly. I left a message to see if they were coming back and received no response. I called again two days later and was informed they were going to return the next day. After a couple more unsuccessful visits and them unnecessarily cutting off the filter's drain pipe with a Sawsall (without asking), I gave up. I repaired the pipe, backwashed the pool several times and vacuumed it myself. I was promised a call 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard back. I am so disappointed. I have had a pool most of my life and have never had this sort of issue.

  We paid this company upfront for the summer for the opening/closing and weekly maintenance of the pool our family shares. From day one the pool has not been clear. There was an algae problem at the start and it has never been rectified. Two weeks ago the pool was actually decent enough to go in but now it's green again. If we wanted to swim in green water we would just go to the creek! Don't use them!
