The quality of the pool installation is the ONLY reason this review is not one star. The pool itself turned out great, and the installation crews did solid work. Unfortunately, the customer service and communication from this company are extremely disappointing and unacceptable for the amount of money customers spend. Communication is practically nonexistent unless YOU chase them down for answers. Customers should not have to repeatedly call just to find out what is going on with appointments and scheduling. We scheduled our pool opening MONTHS in advance. The day of the appointment, after waiting and hearing nothing, we finally called to find out when they planned to arrive. That’s when we were told they would not be coming at all and needed to reschedule for the next day. We explained that we already had an event to attend and could not wait around all day. We were then PROMISED they would arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 the following morning. By 9:30 the next morning, after once again hearing absolutely nothing, we had to call THEM yet again only to be told they would not arrive until the afternoon. At no point did anyone proactively communicate delays or changes — every update had to be initiated by us. When customers are spending this kind of money, there should be professionalism, respect for people’s time, and basic communication. The pool may look great, but the customer service experience leaves a lot to be desired. UPDATE TO AAA RESPONSE: The first call to my husband was absolutely not disrespectful. Your technician told my husband he would be at our house between 8:00–8:30 a.m. the following day because we needed to attend a Celebration of Life for a loved one. I relayed this to you during our conversation, yet you practically implied I was being dishonest — which is ironic given your comments about empathy. After the technician failed to arrive during the rescheduled timeframe, I waited an additional hour before calling simply to ask for an updated estimated arrival time. That is when I was informed it would now be sometime in the afternoon. Yes, my husband was upset, but all he stated was that communication goes a long way. There was no yelling or cursing involved. Regardless, you were speaking with me — not him — and I was never disrespectful to you. I repeatedly stated that I understand life happens, people get sick, and schedules change. My review was never about the pool not being opened on time; I have been very flexible regarding that. My frustration has always been about the lack of communication and the fact that I have had to initiate nearly every update with both you and your office staff from the very beginning, including throughout the pool construction process. Even your technicians have expressed frustration regarding communication issues with the front office. I genuinely feel for those guys. As a retired veteran, I understand what it is like working in a harsh environment, and I've always treated your technicians with respect and appreciation. Instead of addressing legitimate customer concerns professionally, the office chose to leave a snarky public response to my review. Unfortunately, that level of customer service likely contributes to your current 3.5-star rating.

AAA Pools of Fredericksburg, VA, finished our pool in 2022—smack in the middle of the COVID-19 supply chain chaos. Nationwide shortages, back-ordered equipment, endless delays… Yet somehow, they pulled it off. Not only did they deliver on time, but they also built us a gorgeous, high-quality pool/fireplace pit that was even better than we hoped for. But here’s the thing: our real appreciation for AAA Pools didn’t actually start the day we took our first swim. It began later, under very different circumstances. Not long after the installation, my wife started a grueling journey through chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation treatment that lasted from late 2023 until early July 2024. And even then, recovery was another long road, stretching out for a year as she slowly worked to regain her strength. Because of all this, she barely touched the pool for a season or more. Then, just as she was starting to bounce back, historic rainstorms hit in 2025, bringing water and algae headaches that nearly wiped out yet another summer. Through it all, the AAA Pools team was a constant. From the owner to the office manager, to the staff, and every tech who came to our house, you could tell they genuinely cared. They weren’t just after a sale—they wanted a relationship. If something went wrong, they showed up. If we needed advice, they answered the phone. If the pool needed rescuing, they rolled up their sleeves. They reminded me of that good neighbor everyone hopes for: always dependable, never dismissive, and willing to go above and beyond. A pool might not seem like the most important thing in life, but for us, it became a gathering place—a sort of hearth—for our family, our church, friends, and neighbors. Especially during our hardest years, it was a source of joy and comfort. King Solomon said it best: “A merry heart does good, like medicine.” The happiness our pool has brought back to my wife has truly been the best medicine of all. AAA Pools blends real expertise with genuine kindness, and my family couldn’t be more grateful..

We purchased our home last September, and as first-time pool owners, we had a lot to learn. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy the pool last season since we had to close it shortly after moving in. When AAA Pools opened our pool last week, their staff was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with throughout the entire process. After reviewing our system, they explained the benefits of converting our aging DE filter to a sand filter and helped us understand the long-term maintenance advantages of making the switch. With an extremely busy schedule, AAA Pools technician Travis went above and beyond by working overtime on a Saturday to get the new system installed and fully operational for our family. His professionalism, work ethic, and personable attitude were greatly appreciated. We are very thankful for the excellent service and highly recommend AAA Pools to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional, and customer-focused pool service. Thank you again!
