  It’s so rare these days to come across truly genuine customer service, and I just had to leave a review for Thomasine who helped me during my move-out process at Extra Space Storage off of Woodlake Dr in Chesapeake. She happened to be passing by on her golf cart when I called out to her, and without hesitation, she stopped what she was doing and made time to help me. From the very beginning, she was incredibly sweet, kind, and welcoming. She took the time to personally walk me through the entire checkout process, inspected my unit thoroughly, and explained everything with such clear and concise directions. She even repeated herself a few times just to make sure I fully understood everything, which I truly appreciated. She made me feel like family instead of just another customer. The checkin process was just as lovely. I toured a few different units and really enjoyed the climate controlled spaces. It was helpful that carts were readily available and the outside doors had the ability to stay open....most of the time, to make for easy access and moving. The ceilings are super high, so I was able to stack a lot of totes, which my husband appreciated so I didn't have to bring so much stuff to our new house. I absolutely loved the digital access on the app, especially at night or when it was raining. I always felt safe at Extra Space and liked that the units were not near any high walking areas. I never used the self-serve kiosk, but thought that was a nice touch. I also appreciated the extended hours and how easy it was to get into contact with someone. This was truly an amazing experience for a storage unit and I would highly recommend the location off of Woodlake Dr in Chesapeake. Make sure you talk to Thomasine for outstanding service.

  Chris was extremely helpful, patient, and professional throughout the whole process. He took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and made what could’ve been a stressful situation feel easy and smooth. Excellent customer service — truly appreciated his kindness and willingness to help!
