In a plastic bag, bring a sample of the plant that contains the problem needing to be resolved. Example: leaves, bark, section of sod, etc. At a minimum, bring a photo showing the problem, but a real sample is best.
Come with knowledge of or a basic diagram of the area you want to plant. Know if the area is sunny or shady; east, west, north, south facing; dry area or gets a lot of moisture. Also, photos or names of particular plants you like are also helpful to direct you to what you’ll enjoy in your garden.
