We are so disappointed with Lowe's in Riverdale Utah. We bought a Bosch 800 series dishwasher in April 2025. In April 2026, slightly over 1 year later, the circulation pump went out. Because the manufacturers warranty expired after one year, Lowe's said they couldn't do anything except offer a small discount on another dishwasher and reminded us to pay for their extended warranty next time. We paid approximately $1700 after shipping and install for a machine that barely lasted one year. It will cost $490 to repair it but the service tech said the 800 series are known to have issues with the crystal dry function and when that goes out, it'll cost over $1k to fix (according to him). I don't expect Lowe's to give us a new machine but at least work with us. I've spent a lot of money at that store but if they are okay selling a "luxury" dishwasher that fails after a year and the best response is "we'll give you a small discount on the purchase of another"… then we're off to H.D.

I ordered a sprinkler head to pick up at Riverdale because it wasn't showing available at the location closer to me. I was in the closer location the following day and saw it, so I bought it there and tried to call Riverdale. After the initial AI recording, no one ever picked up. The person at Lowes said if I didn't pick it up they would put it back in inventory and refund me. 12 days later an employee named Atlas left me a voicemail asking if I was coming to pick it up then marked it as if I picked it up instead of cancelling the order. I called Riverdale today and briefly explained the issue. She looked up my order and placed me on hold....24 minutes ago. Hung up, called back and asked for a manager.

I recently visited this location to buy a few sprinkler parts and garden supplies. While I had an easy time finding what I needed and the staff was helpful, I was very disconcerted to see that the parking lot is now heavily monitored by Flock Safety automated license plate readers (ALPR).
It felt genuinely invasive to enter the lot—as if I were being processed as a suspect rather than welcomed as a customer. I know this nationwide surveillance rollout is likely a top-down corporate decision to deter theft, and I’m sure the local store has little say in it. However, I can’t get over how unnerving it feels to have my vehicle data entered into a searchable database just to buy hardware.
For me, Lowe’s has always been synonymous with DIY projects and with making life just a little better. But the "police-state" atmosphere in the parking lot is a huge deterrent. I value my privacy, so I will likely reduce the number of trips I take to Lowe’s and start shopping at other locations or local stores where I don’t have to deal with these negative feelings every time I pull in.
