We were having problems with ants in our home, so we decided to sign up with Aptive after one of their door-to-door sales representatives visited us.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service. Despite repeatedly reporting our ant problem, I felt the company was not very responsive. It wasn't until near the end of our contract that they finally treated the area where the ants were most active.
When our contract was coming to an end, we decided to cancel because we were not satisfied with the service we had received. My husband called to cancel and was told that our account would be closed. However, we continued to be charged our monthly fee for two additional months.
When my husband called again to ask about the continued charges, he was met with rude customer service. He was told there was no record of his original cancellation call and that the only documented conversation showed he had accepted a new "deal." As a result, the company refused to refund the charges that occurred after we had requested cancellation.
Based on our experience, I feel this company lacks integrity and does not treat its customers fairly. I will never do business with Aptive again and would not recommend their services to others.

Signing a two year contract with this company was the worst decision I've made in a long time. Definitely not worth the price, and they are heartless and unyielding about ending the contract. I'm counting down the days until I can be done with them forever.

I have a very difficult time with scheduling. I wanted only 2 services a year and they keep scheduling more. They were here a few weeks ago and they scheduled one for today even though I had called last week and canceled it. They came any way, it has already posted to my back account and they just want to credit me for my next treatment. I had not had this one in my budget.I seem to need to call often to get them to come only when I had expressly told them when I signed on how many applications I wanted and that I did not want that many chemicals in my yard. I will not be using the service next year.

Great experience so far. Our tech, Dave, was thorough and explained each of his steps well. Knocked down all of our wasp nests and installed bait traps in high traffic areas. Our Salesman, Ryan Giles, was also incredible to work with by taking time to listen to our needs and concerns.

My frustration is with the customer service and cancellation process. My contract ends in a week, and I called ahead to cancel so I wouldn't be automatically charged for another month. Since no additional service is scheduled before the contract ends, I expected the cancellation to be straightforward. Instead, I was told I would need to call back again on the actual contract end date to cancel.
This lack of flexibility feels unnecessarily inconvenient, especially for a service that isn't inexpensive. As a customer trying to provide advance notice and avoid unintended charges, I shouldn't have to make multiple calls to accomplish a simple cancellation request.
The field technicians deserves good ratings, but the customer service experience and cancellation policy significantly detract from an otherwise positive experience.
UPDATE: I called on the final day of my contract, first thing in the morning, to cancel. I was told I would still be charged an “early cancellation fee” because the contract had not yet reached the end of the day. That makes absolutely no sense. Instead of making the process easier for customers, it feels like the company is focused on squeezing every possible dollar out of them. It's an incredibly frustrating and customer-unfriendly experience.

How much does professional pest control cost?
Our professional pest control plans start as low as $49 to $55 per month for our Basic plan, depending on your location. We offer three primary tiers—Basic, Pro, and Premium—designed to fit different levels of protection needs and budgets.
Do you offer same-day pest control services?
Yes, depending on current technician availability. If you call before noon, we can often provide same-day service for urgent pest issues.
How soon can a technician come out for an emergency?
We strive for 24 to 48-hour response times. For emergencies like a yellow jacket nest or indoor roach sightings, we prioritize your call in our daily schedule.

A perimeter treatment covers 3 feet up the foundation and 3 feet out into the yard. We also treat windowsills, door frames, and eaves.
How do I get rid of an ant infestation in my kitchen?
To stop ants, we use "transferable" baits. Workers carry the bait back to the queen, killing the entire colony rather than just the ants you see on the counter.
What is the best treatment for German cockroaches?
German roaches require a combination of baiting, insect growth regulators (IGRs), and sanitation. They are resilient, so 2–3 follow-up visits are often required for total elimination.
