  Five Installation Attempts, Countless Hours, and Another Company Finally Had to Solve the Problem We purchased a gas range from Lowe’s and paid for installation. What should have been simple turned into five installation attempts, multiple five hour appointment windows, weeks without a working stove, hours on the phone, repeated transfers, conflicting information, and multiple incorrect or missing parts. We were repeatedly promised the correct connector would be brought. It wasn’t. On the final attempt, Lowe’s again failed to provide it. I called and was specifically told the correct part would be waiting at customer service for my daughter. We even waited an extra hour and a half before she went. Nothing was waiting. She was sent back and forth between departments, then they finally gave her another connector. It was still the wrong one. By sheer coincidence, a Best Buy installation crew was at our home working on our dishwasher. Their installer looked at the stove, immediately understood what was needed, went to his truck, and GAVE US the correct range connector. After five attempts, the only reason our Lowe’s stove was finally installed was because a Best Buy contractor supplied the part Lowe’s could not. I tipped the Best Buy installer and also tipped Lowe’s contracted delivery crew because they came back after finishing their route to complete the installation. The contractors who genuinely tried to help were not the problem. Lowe’s process was. Even after installation, the gas connection was tested with Windex despite the connector instructions cautioning against ammonia based products. We ultimately pulled the stove back out ourselves and retested the connections with the proper leak detection solution. Lowe’s has provided credits, which I appreciate, but money does not fix the underlying issue. I even went back to the store hoping to speak with the Store Manager and still could not. When I raised my concern about the gas installation, I was essentially told to buy Lowe’s protection coverage next time. The appliance did not fail. The installation process did. When it takes five attempts, another company has to provide the correct part, and the customer still has to pull out a gas appliance afterward to verify the connection, this is far beyond a normal inconvenience. I sincerely hope Lowe’s leadership reviews what happened because no customer should have to work this hard to receive an installation service they already paid for.

  Your employee, Jesse, is a great representative for the store. We appreciate his customer service and choose the Layton Lowe's over Clinton because of employees like himself.

  Bought several bags of mulch. Had to wander all around the garden center and store looking for it. This was 4:32 pm on a Saturday. You would think they would have more than just a cashier. My husband has a bad back and this was very literally an overall painful experience for him. Seems the service always leaves something to be desired at this store.

  I had several smaller home improvement projects completed together rather than dealing with each one separately. The work included some trim replacement, painting, minor repairs, and a few updates around the interior. None of the individual projects were huge, but putting them together made a noticeable difference in the overall appearance of the house. I liked that the work stayed focused on the areas that actually needed attention instead of making the project more complicated than necessary. Once everything was finished, the rooms looked cleaner and more put together. It was a worthwhile update and made the house feel more maintained overall.

  Very happy with this lowes. Pre covid it was terrible, prefered home depot. Any help was almost no where to be found, while home depot had tons of grey beards roaming around to help. After covid, they switched. Now i despise home depot. Since those years. lowes has shifted towards inexperienced teenagers that have to search things on their tablet, but i can't hold that against them, that's the way of the world now. And with that said, they do try. I really appreciate the contractor checkout/seperate entrance with plenty of parking. Much better than most lowes/homdepots that have a very short covered pull through and extremely tight parking in it. Great for loading, and or curbside ordering for larger/heavier contractor orders. I only wish the app had the option when doing curbside, and selecting parking, to say "contractor covered loading area" instead of "Parking space 1-8". Or, make it easy. The covered parking is "parking space #9" and put a sign that says so in the covered parking. Kind of a pain to call the store, get bounced around, just to tell them "I will be on the other side of the store in 2 minutes with this big trailer waiting on that 5-10 carts worth of goods".
