DO NOT EVER purchase appliances from Lowe's. Free installation is a lie and if the company sends you broken appliances, they will force you to accept it anyway. I ordered a new stove and dishwasher online May 24th and waited until June 13th for the delivery. Today, the new stove arrived and the delivery guys dropped the stove off in my kitchen and stated that they would not install the stove (even though I ordered and paid for the new stove cord and was promised free installation). Evidently, free installation is a lie. The delivery man stated that if I didn't like it, I could contact the Lowe's store in Cookeville, TN and let the manager know. I should have rejected the delivery immediately, but I am not an unreasonable person and thought I could find a work around. I called a neighbor to come attach the cord for me and once the stove was unboxed, we saw the HUGE dent in the brand new stove. I tried numerous times to contact my local Lowe's, but could not get past their AI phone system. After the 6th attempt to contact my local store, I called the national Lowe's customer service center and a wonderful representative stated he had taken care of everything and they would have a new stove delivered and installed today. This was yet another lie from Lowe's. After waiting hours and never receiving a phone call from the new delivery team, I called my local Lowe's store again. The customer service representative stated that she could see that a new stove was requested and promised, but they did not have one, so the request had been cancelled in their data system. No one at Lowe's ever contacted me to state the replacement stove could not be delivered. If I had not called back, I would never have known and would still be waiting for that replacement stove. I had to escalate my call to a manger. After much back and forth, the manager stated that basically, I had two options: (1) I could accept a pittance of a discount on my purchase or (2) I could wait THREE WEEKS until July 4th for a new stove to be delivered. (Note, I already had my old stove removed and sent to the recycling center this morning because I was so very excited to be getting a new stove). In the meantime, I would be required to keep that giant stove & that giant box in my kitchen, and Lowe's will not refund my money until they get their stove back, so I cannot even purchase another stove, and too bad that I cannot feed my family. What kind of horrid business model is that??? Not being able to go without a stove for three weeks, I was forced to accept this piece of garbage. And, just to top it all off, now I have to figure out how to get rid of the GIANT box and all the packing material that is currently filling up my dining area. I cannot even begin to express how angry I am. I cannot recommend purchasing anything from Lowe's.
