  This is a lowes, it has lowes stuff. Usually they have the lowes stuff you need. When they don't, you can just drive over to the home depot on the next block and get home depot stuff instead.

  Formal Complaint – Poor Customer Service and Lack of Resolution To Whom It May Concern, I would like to file a formal complaint regarding my experience at the Lowe’s store on August 1, 2026, at approximately 9:10 p.m. I visited the store seeking assistance because one of the door handle sets from my online order arrived incomplete, preventing me from finishing a home remodeling project. Since this particular handle is not stocked in the store, I was hoping the Customer Service team could help me obtain the missing parts without delaying my project or requiring me to pay additional shipping costs. When I arrived at Customer Service, I was assisted by an employee named Stephanie. Upon approaching the counter, she did not acknowledge or greet me and continued working on her computer for several minutes before asking if I wanted to process a return. I clearly explained that I did not want a return. My goal was to find a solution to obtain the missing components from the incomplete set I had received. Stephanie stated she did not know which parts were missing, so I went to the hardware aisle, picked up a similar handle set, and returned to the counter to show her exactly what was missing. By the time I returned, Stephanie informed me that she had already spoken with her manager and that my order had been processed as a return, despite my having clearly stated that I did not want one. When I asked why a return had been processed against my wishes, she responded that it was all she could do based on her manager’s instructions. I again attempted to explain that I was simply looking for a solution, not a refund. At that point, Stephanie became increasingly dismissive. She told me I had already received my money back and that I needed to leave. When I respectfully addressed her as “my lady” while continuing to explain the situation, she raised her voice and stated that I needed to call her by her name, Stephanie, and then told me to leave her alone. Fortunately, another Customer Service employee, whom I believe was Janice, stepped in. She apologized for the interaction and took the time to understand the issue. She assisted me by processing a new purchase so that a claim could be initiated for the incomplete item and worked toward finding a solution. I sincerely appreciate Janice’s professionalism and willingness to help. Unfortunately, this experience still leaves me with significant inconvenience. Because Lowe’s shipped an incomplete product, my remodeling project is now delayed by several days while I wait for the replacement. In addition, I may incur additional costs due to shipping or pricing differences, all because of an issue that was not caused by me. I respectfully ask the following: 1. Assistance in obtaining the missing replacement as quickly as possible, without additional cost to me. 2. A review of the customer service provided by Stephanie and the manager who instructed her to process a return without first understanding or discussing the issue with me. 3. Clarification as to whether this reflects Lowe’s customer service standards, as I find it difficult to believe that processing an unwanted return and asking a customer to leave is the appropriate way to resolve a problem caused by an incomplete order. I have been investing significant time and money into my home remodeling project, and I chose Lowe’s because I expected quality products backed by excellent customer service. While I greatly appreciate Janice’s efforts, my overall experience was disappointing and could have been avoided with better communication and a genuine willingness to help. I look forward to your response and, most importantly, to a prompt resolution so I can complete my project.

  I stopped in to buy a single item and walked up to the customer service desk to check out. Nobody was in line, and two employees were standing there with nothing else going on. I asked politely if one of them could ring me up. Instead of helping, she laughed at me and told me to go use self-checkout. I set the item down and drove to Home Depot. Same item, cheaper price, and an actual person rang me up without being asked twice. I don’t expect much — just a register and someone willing to use it. If the plan is to make customers do the work themselves, fine, but then don’t staff a desk with people who won’t help and can’t be pleasant about turning you away. Lost sale, and I’ll be starting at Home Depot from now on.
