- DBDavid BoggsMay 1, 20261.0Extremely disappointing experience at the Athens Aaron's due to deceptive practices and awful customer service. I signed up with the 'penny to start' deal. The manager called and told me to come pick up my equipment today, but after making a 30-minute drive, I was hit with surprise fees. They refused to let me take the items unless I paid more money on the spot, completely defeating the purpose of the promotion. The absolute worst part was the manager's attitude. When I explained that these extra costs were never mentioned over the phone, he condescendingly told me he 'didn't expect that I wouldn't have the money.' Absolutely unprofessional and demeaning. Save yourself the headache, this kind of poor management is bad for business.

When I arrived the man that helped me, I don't remember his name, had no clue about what the manager had talked with me about and the manager told me that they would take care of me today. The guy was clueless and he was like well we have to start all over. His body language, his attitude, And just a general way he acted towards me were not appreciated. It was almost as if he could care less that I was there and just wanted to get me gone. We made the deal anyway and I brought the laptop home. However when I got it home it will not let me connect to my Wi-Fi. Apparently when they reset it, it was a previously owned one, they deleted the driver that it needed and forgot to reinstall it. This is what I was told by the nice lady that I talked to when I called about why I couldn't connect. So now I have to take it back down there just so they can reinstall the driver. If he had even taken the time to say hey let's make sure you can set it up or anything for that matter then maybe I could have used the laptop that I was so excited to get, over the weekend instead of having to wait until I can take it back down there to even be able to use it. At this point I'm just ready to take it back and forget it. It was my first time in the store because my previous leases were done online. And let me just tell you first impressions are definitely everything. I was completely disappointed and irritated with my service in store today in the Athens office.

No, we drover over 30 mins to find out they “have” to deliver it. A friend of mine has been in this line of work before and you can override that. They waisted our time and gas getting here to try and get this bike for my pregnant wife. They can deliver it two weeks from now which is very unacceptable. Do not do business with these people

Delivery times vary based on the merchandise selected. The expected delivery time will be displayed during the checkout process. If you have already completed your order, you can find the expected delivery time on the "Aaron's Order Confirmation email".

What is meant by “no credit needed?”
“No Credit Needed” means that you don’t necessarily need to have any established credit history to be approved for a lease. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
Do I have to have a local store?
Yes, online leasing is not available in all areas. Your delivery address must be within 30 miles of a participating Aaron's store. To find your local store, please visit our Store Locator. Unfortunately, there are a few areas that we are unable to service. We rely on our stores to make your leasing experience personal and reliable. If there is not a store in your area, we could not provide the red-carpet service that you deserve.

Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment).
