Just bought a house here in the area about a month ago, worst experience ever, to include what occured with my Realtor, and now Lowe's. The latter was supposed to install a toilet upstairs after a delay of many weeks and finally confirmed some days ago to be done this morning. I mentioned to the installer that part of my reason to have the toilet installed was to make sure that a prior leak in a sink & possibly around the toilet, there would be no major damage such as mold down below the toilet area, to make sure there was nothing to worry about. So, after my telling him that, as maybe I should not have(but only having to do with me, not him, or Lowes), he said that he would not be able to complete the job. How freakin insane!
After making me wait for at least 3 weeks to get the job lined up, without any warning at all of something like this, a purely frivolous concern of theirs, due to a warranty to be given for the job and toilet purchase, they have to tell me this. I also had received a very good discount off of the unique double flush toilet and now it is being sent back, where I am never going to do business again with.
I also purchased a complet Kitchen appliance set. And that was a disaster so far. I did not want to initially place this review, because I did appreciate the guys making the delivery as one of the guys had a horrible situation occur in the country he is from. But anyway, the one guy finishing up on the refrigerator install neglected to remove all of the protective wrapping, and it shocked me because I did not think he would be so careless and irresponsible after the way he talked. By not completing that job, I had to do it myself and it was not easy. It was something that should have been done prior to placing all of the drawer/shelves in, because with the way it was wrapped all around, it was very difficult to remove! ***And, it may be the reason that the freezer drawer was difficult to close, and now may be ***damaged*** - I can tell because there is grinding sound when I open and close the drawer, so I know that is not normal.
So, I guess I will have to call Lowes people in the Warranty department to have it looked at, to be fixed or replaced. They are funny about appliances, as I think you cannot easily have them replaced after just 2 days of purchase.
I don't think I will ever buy such above ever again from Lowes, not even a toilet, as this event, has been the worst of such days, that I have ever endured in my life of Owner many houses over time!
You truly can't make up true stories like this! Sad, very sad.
