The store itself is pretty decent. They don't always have the same items in stock that other stores in Greenville or Spartanburg have. The customer service is outstanding. I had a some non-store gift cards I got from my credit card rewards that work a little differently than regular store gift cards and there was an issue when I had to return an item that got a bit complicated. update: I finally got in touch with someone who apologized and explained what happened. they made it right and I appreciate their understanding and effort.
My experience with this store has been a frustrating mix of good service undermined by awful communication and process failures.
Recently, I placed a $2,000+ special-order hardwood flooring purchase. The salesperson who took the order was very helpful, and I appreciated his assistance. We were given a scheduled pickup date of September 2.
Unfortunately, that date passed with zero proactive communication from the store. Trying to reach a human by phone is an AI-automated nightmare—calls ring endlessly without an answer. On Sept 3, I finally reached the flooring department, where an associate contacted the local Greer distributor and assured me the material would arrive on Sept 4.
On Sept 4, after waiting on hold for over 10 minutes trying to confirm delivery before driving over, I gave up and went to the store in person. The associate helping me, Danielle, simply pointed at her monitor and parrotted the screen, saying, "It's not here... see?" When I pressed for actual answers, the original associate stepped in and asked her to call the distributor, who revealed the shipment had been sitting loaded on a trailer just down the road near the Inland Port because no one was dispatched to pick it up. To make matters worse, I was told that if it doesn't arrive by Sept 5, Lowe's will automatically cancel my order and force me to re-order from scratch.
This delay is directly impacting my business. I’m losing money daily, pushing back client installations, and sacrificing personal time to track down basic information. Customer service shouldn't require an act of God, and store associates need to do basic investigating rather than just pointing at a screen to state the obvious

They simply don’t keep a lot of the items I find my self needing in stock. That’s ok, that parts not a huge deal. The bigger reason for two stars is that they require proof of purchase for the craftsman hand tool warranty, when craftsman themselves says on their customer care page that tools may be warrantied at any retail partner, no proof of purchase necessary! They didn’t use to require it. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would probably be 5 stars if not for going back on the craftsman warranty.
