HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Zero if I could.
I placed an order with this store, and everything seemed fine at first. I received updates saying my order was out for delivery, only for it to never arrive.
For over two weeks, I’ve been going back and forth with customer service simply trying to get a refund for an order that was never delivered. The explanation I keep getting is that because the order has been loaded and prepared for delivery, they can’t issue a refund. But wait… I was told the order was already out for delivery. So which is it? None of it adds up.
At this point, I don’t even want the product anymore. I just want my money back.
To make matters worse, the staff will answer the phone and immediately hang up without saying a word or providing any assistance. Every representative I’ve spoken with has given me the runaround, passed me to someone else, or offered no real solution.
Save yourself the frustration. If you absolutely have to buy from this store, go pick it up yourself—assuming it’s actually in stock. Otherwise, shop elsewhere. I’ve never experienced customer service this bad before.

Let me tell you, just save yourself the time and energy and DO NOT buy ANY appliances from Lowes, from any location. They absolutely SUCK. I went May 31 with my husband to buy a new washer and dryer set since they were on sale, and we had them set for delivery. June 4 rolls around and we get them delivered. Well turns out they only delivered our dryer, no washer in sight. We go in person to see what happened, turns out the guy who checked us out, didn't put down we wanted the washer delivered too. Instead he marked it as "took home" because yes, a washer was going to fit in my sedan... We were told to speak to a manager about this issue, and turns out we were not ONE, NOT TWO, BUT THREE people there with a similar issue that day. We waited over 30 minutes on the manager. He didn't seem to care about us or others in line for the same issue, since he kept helping people with their pick up orders. Eventually he did talk to us and he did try and help, barely, but in the end the department manager, scheduled a pickup for our dryer, and gave us a refund on BOTH the washer and dryer. However, I have yet to see a refund hit my account, and to this day I have no receipt, paper or email, stating they have issued my refund, and every time I call and ask them about it they say it's been issued, and when I ask about an emailed receipt the manager just reassures me that it's been sent. It has not. Long story short, unless you want to have ever ending issues with Lowes, do not buy anything from their appliance department, unless you want to spend the next week fixing THEIR issues THEY caused you and don't seem to care about it at all. My husband and I will be telling all of our friends and family to go elsewhere for their appliance needs moving forward.

For those of you who have another option besides Lowe’s, I strongly recommend using it.
The product selection at this store is fine, but the customer service is some of the worst I have experienced in retail. What should have been a simple question with an easy, common-sense solution turned into an exercise in frustration.
From the employees at the customer service desk to the assistant store manager, John, every interaction felt like I was inconveniencing them simply by asking for help. Rather than listening and working toward a solution, I was met with conflicting answers, excuses, and a complete lack of ownership.
The most frustrating part was speaking with store leadership. John initially provided explanations and justifications that later fell apart under basic scrutiny. When it became apparent that his own statements contradicted the position he was trying to defend, the story changed. Instead of acknowledging the issue or finding a reasonable resolution, the conversation became a series of backtracks and made-up exaggerations.
Customer service is not complicated. Listen to the customer, apply a little common sense, and try to solve the problem. Unfortunately, that seemed beyond the capabilities or willingness of the leadership team at this location.
I left frustrated, disappointed, and with zero confidence that anyone in management actually cared about the customer experience.
Thankfully, I have alternatives. I would rather drive 45 minutes to The Home Depot at 20 Gateway Village Road in Bluffton than spend another dollar at this Lowe’s location. At least there, customers are treated like people instead of problems.
If you have other options available, I encourage you to use them. Lowe’s has products. Customer service, accountability, and competent leadership are a different story.

Terrible store. Wife and I purchased a washer and dryer during a sale they had. We had it set for delivery and the cashier accidentally put that picked up the washer they day we bought it. So when delivery day came we only had a dryer. Wouldn’t be that bad if we weren’t about to move but we were. The only reason we bought was bc we saw the sale. So we ended having to refunded both and move without a washer and dryer. All because a cashier made a massive mistake.

We have used this Lowe’s location in Beaufort multiple times over the years and have previously purchased appliances including a refrigerator and dishwasher without issues, which is why this recent experience was so disappointing.
For our latest appliance delivery, only one delivery person arrived and appeared unaware that the delivery involved stairs. I was then put in the position of either refusing delivery and taking another day off work to reschedule, or physically assisting with the delivery myself despite paying for full delivery service.
To avoid further delays and inconvenience, I helped complete the delivery. Afterward, I contacted Lowe’s customer service simply seeking a reasonable goodwill adjustment or partial refund of the delivery fee due to the circumstances. Instead of any flexibility or customer-service consideration, both customer service and management hid entirely behind the delivery contract language and stated that because I assisted, nothing could be done.
I understand companies have policies and contracts for liability. However, it is frustrating that the burden of what appeared to be a staffing/planning issue was shifted directly onto the customer with absolutely no effort made to resolve the situation reasonably.
Again, we have spent a significant amount of money at this store over the years and generally had positive experiences, which makes this level of customer service especially disappointing. If this is the level of customer service Lowe’s is willing to provide to repeat customers when clear delivery issues occur, we will seriously reconsider using Lowe’s for future purchases and large appliance deliveries.
