  Scam artist. The locksmith showed up without the tools to unlock our deadbolt and then insisted he needed to drill through it, break it, and replace it which would cost $300. We know for a fact that other groups in the area will come unlock deadbolts for $80 without causing any damage. We told him we didn’t want his services because we know that’s not what it should cost and he kept harassing us and threatening to still charge us $65 even if he doesn’t do anything (which is almost the cost of a NON scam locksmith). We tried to tell him he didn’t need to break the deadbolt but be refused to do it any other way. He said $200 of it was just for the deadbolt when they only cost $35. The man charged us $100 to essentially rip a hole in our door.

  Total rip off. My mom was locked outside of the house. I was told over the phone that the price starts at $65 and the locksmith would tell her the price before he started. She wasn’t informed and was told her price to open a regular doorknob for $200. Didn’t even take him a minute to open it. I wasn’t able to be there due to work and my mom has been visiting out of town. Definitely felt like she was taken advantage of. No service that easy should be $200.

  Call in they said they would be here in 25 minutes, when I asked for a price, I got hung up on. Took no less than 3 minutes to get into my car and TRIED to charge me $295. Anyone else would have did it for $85 at the most, only called them because the other 24-hour locksmiths would not answer the phone. Didn't tell me how much it was until after the job was done, then tried to offer me future service for cheaper. I do not recommend using these guys unless you want to get ripped off!

  Went here to have copies made of my older Avallone's Lock & Key. Had my own key blanks. Was told the blanks are too long, told to order new blanks of right length and quoted 25/key (needed two) and sent away. After searching for days where to order these shorter blank keys and buying additional blanks from different vendors, I went to another locksmith (Busse's). They cut the keys in 5 minutes using the same original blanks I presented to F.A. for a total of 12.50.

  I needed a new door knob/lock set for my office. I have some fairly dangerous equipment in there and needed something better to keep my son and dogs out for their safety. So getting the right set and install was extra important. The first place I called before Avallone wanted to charge $30 for an estimate. Then after I said I wanted to check around first, they kept calling back and then dropped down to a free estimate. I understand the thought process but don’t like the game. So I called Michael and he was quick to help, set expectations on when he would get back with me, got back when he said he would, and even more importantly: let me know the door knob and lock set I bought already wasn’t going to do the job I needed as much as I thought I did. He then helped me find the right set. I ordered it, it came the next day, and when I let Michael know it arrive, he was here to install it within like 12 hours. 😂 It’s a small job, so I tend to expect a lot of push around based on past experiences with other services. But nope. Michael made the job feel just as important as any big job. He’s friendly, helpful, and patient when I had questions. He even took extra time to adjust my door hinges so the door sat straight. Easiest hire ever. Will absolutely get him to come back when we change out some other things. 🙌🏻 Thanks, Michael!
