  Just received our dining room hutch and it’s spectacular. It is exactly what we ordered, excellent quality, and was delivered and set up earlier than expected. Elmer was a delight to do business with, from ordering to delivery, which he did personally. We couldn’t be happier.

  Although they sell nice furniture (which they do not make themselves), their prices are high and their customer service is horrendous! In my personal experience, Elmer has been very lax in responses, forgetful of his promises, and would rather apologize than to do the right thing to begin with. Some examples have been: he took more than a week to answer a simple email question; he promised delivery on a specific date but then could not deliver; he did not call to re-schedule, I waited several days and had to call him back myself; he charged my credit card balance (approx. $4,000 purchase) before he even had the items in his possession from the manufacturer, and without my permission!; delivered a damaged item even though his assistant admitted he saw the damage when they picked it up from the manufacturer. I paid $400/per chair and he had the nerve to deliver it damaged! We paid additional to have our dining seats upholstered and ended up with a bigger issue than we could imagine. Not only did one of the upholstered seats have a large round stain in the seat/fabric, but the manufacturer did not allow for the additional height the padding added to the seat, and failed to add the padding inches to make the legs of the table higher. Now we have chairs that make us higher to a smaller-than-typical table and causing us to tower over our meals as we sit in these chairs. This experience has been a complete fail all the way around and they had the nerve to charge us $315 for delivery! I very frequently visit Lancaster County and enjoy the area. However, I have absolutely nothing positive to say in dealing with Carriage House (Elmer in particular) and rest assured I would not make another purchase and do not recommend them.

  Bought two unfinished cabinets from them. Great prices would advise anyone looking for furniture to visit.
