  I placed an online order Wednesday afternoon and was notified it would be delivered Thursday morning between 8:00 and 12:00. I thought to myself that's fantastic. I rearranged my morning and lost out on pay with my first job. I paid my contractor to be here at 10:00 so he could help unload. at 11:55 the order never came I called the store I ordered from and it was informed that it was switched to another store that that man was going to call the store and would get back to me I left my phone number and never heard a word. I ran up to the local Lowe's and bought more floor leveler so my contractor could get started still never hearing back as to when my order would be delivered. I spoke to the Associates in the store in person and told them of my experience they said they would check on the order it took my phone number and that they would get back to me. by 1:30 I never received a phone call dropped off the floor leveler to my contractor and was late to my second job. I called the store that it was supposedly switched to was hung up on by an associate. I called back and could not get a hold of anyone I called the original store again was on the phone for a good 20 minutes before speaking to a manager who gave me absolutely no information whatsoever. I then called the other store again at this point it was around 2:00 the woman told me she left a message on the phone number that was connected to the order despite me telling them that that phone number was wrong and that they needed to call my phone number. I was then told by that associate that my order would not be delivered today(yesterday) and would be delivered tomorrow which would be today. I was never given a time frame again they called the wrong number so my friend called me and let me know that they were coming to make the delivery that was almost an hour ago. I worked yesterday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. this morning and only set for a few hours I am now sitting on my porch waiting for Lowe's to get here and they are still not here. this has been the absolute worst experience dealing with a construction supply company of my entire life. I understand things happen but the lack of communication is wildly absurd. not one time did I receive a phone call back from anyone despite how many times I called multiple locations. I could not be more disappointed inthe customer service or communication from the store and don't plan on ever ever making another online order. Home Depot it is for me now! Forgive the typos, I'm very frustrated and voice texting

  The store itself is fine, with service and prices about what you’d expect from a Lowe’s or Home Depot. I have to say that the associates I’ve encountered are usually friendly and helpful. The problem is delivery. I paid for same day delivery and first it was pushed to the next day then even that delivery was postponed. I finally had to make arrangements to pick up the materials at the store myself. Makes it hard to plan a project if the materials aren’t there on time. (Ok, maybe I could have planned farther ahead, but I’ve had similar experiences even with their scheduled deliveries.) I learned from talking to an associate that Lowe’s uses 3rd party services (think door dash for lumber) to deliver same day orders. Seems that they need to rethink this strategy. I’m sure it saves money for Lowe’s but at the cost of poor customer delivery service.

  I had a very disappointing experience at Lowe’s today. I purchased a 50-gallon water heater online and received notification that my order was ready for pickup. My father and I arrived and spent some time gathering additional supplies needed for the installation. Unfortunately, several of the items we needed were either out of stock or unavailable. When I checked in for my pickup, my father immediately noticed that the water heater they brought out had a severely damaged box. Concerned about purchasing a damaged appliance, I asked if it could be exchanged. I was quickly told they were out of stock, which was surprising since I had just checked the Lowe’s website and it showed 15 units available. I spoke with another employee, explained the situation, and after additional effort, they were able to locate and provide an undamaged water heater after all. This left me questioning why I was initially told there were none available. To make matters worse, not a single employee offered to help load the water heater into our vehicle. A 50-gallon water heater is not a small purchase, and some assistance would have been appreciated. Overall, I was frustrated by the poor communication, the attempt to fulfill my order with a damaged product, and the lack of customer service throughout the pickup process. This experience fell far below my expectations. If this is the level of service customers can expect from online order pickup, I’ll be taking my future business to Home Depot

  Lowes is really slipping. Today was my second bad experience with them so going forward Home Depot will be my first choice. In the first instance, I ordered a tool box and tools online for a gift supposedly to be shipped the store for pick up within 3 days. The first item came in, but the second one was supposedly "in transit." After a week of not arriving I called the store who did research to find out it was not coming and there was no information on when it would come. My second experience today, I checked online for a WM Bagster that was listed as 47 in stock. So I go to the store, have to walk to two different locations at either end of the store, and talked to three different Associates to try to find them. Two out of the three were friendly and helpful but not successful. One Associate was not friendly and not helpful. So now I have to leave the store and drive to Home Depot to find the Bagster I need to start my job.
