  I tried using Minute Key for a replacement key for my truck. About an hour later I received a text from their Key concierge with vehicle make and model information that DOES NOT MATCH what I entered at the kiosk. They also apparently automatically subscribe you for text notifications that you will have to opt out of. Additionally, now they are requesting my VIN number, something I'm not comfortable giving via text and was also not notified that I would need to provide during the kiosk check out. When I called the concierge number I was forwarded to a "concierge" that sounded like they were on a cell phone. Conflating customer info in what should be an automated system, not disclosing all the necessary info requirements BEFORE taking money, and taking the subsequent customer service call outside of a professional environment (office, shop, etc) all just come across as very shady. I asked to cancel my order and was told I'd have a refund within 48 hours. If it doesn't come through by then I'll get my bank involved.

  First time using one of these and honestly if regular hardware stores were open later or if this Lowes still cut keys the old-fashioned way i wouldve taken it over this. Cut 2 different key copies. First one came out fine. Machine died on the second one and became inoperable and Lowes was unable to assist. Had to then drive out to Home Depot's key Kiosk, which while it worked, had broken keys on a shelf right next to the machine indicating these may be prone to issues.

  The keys were well made and worked correctly. The service kiosk was fast and the questions were appropriate for the task. I liked the entire procedure. I'll use them again.

  None of the 4 keys copied worked to open the new door lock we bought. This is frustrating! How do I get my money back?
