- GUGoogle UserAug 20, 20262.0One star because it’s the minimum. An additional star for Ava, who was a wonderfully helpful employee at this store. Incident: When my partner and I walked in the store, it was a challenge to find someone available to help us locate what we were looking for. Once we found an employee (who we later learned is named Ava), she didn’t just tell us where to find the product we were looking for, but she actually walked us over to it directly! In 2026, that alone is peak customer service. However, as soon as Ava began walking us over, she was almost immediately paged via the speaker and told to go to the front of the store— which prevented us from asking more questions, and therefore buying less things. Unfortunately, because of the chaotic disgruntled front-end manager, the same positive energy that Ava had was not matched when we got to the register. Once we were ready to check out, we saw Ava was working one of the registers and went to her line. When we approached, there were only 2 customers ahead of us (one woman with her family including young children, and another woman who was there on her own). However, the family was having some issues which resulted in a longer waiting time for those of us in line behind that family. Rather than having another employee open up a line and alleviate some of the backup that was accumulating in Ava’s line (one of the customer’s was having an issue so it wasn’t Ava’s fault,) the manager (a heavyset woman with dark hair and wearing an orange shirt) completely disregarded Ava. And the manager then, not only once but twice called over an employee to alleviate the backup in other lines which were already moving much faster. Yet that manager allowed Ava to continue struggling when it was apparent that Ava needed assistance. To recap: At the register, Ava had to call over the intercom not once, but twice to request managerial help. Both times she was met with a completely dismissive attitude by her manager and did not receive the help needed. According to the customer service agent, that specific manager’s main job is to make sure that the registers are fully optimized, and that was not done at all. To Ava, I am so sorry you have to put up with that, you are absolutely amazing with your customer service capabilities and you will go far, and please don’t let this petty manager discourage you. I would also like to leave a compliment for the customer service representative I spoke to following our call where it was explained how we witnessed the front-end manager mistreating her employees.
