I have rented my unit for almost 2 years. Recently the company was acquired and I received a phone call to let me know. I asked if my rent would increase, they assured me it would not. Today, I logged on to my account to find my rate had nearly doubled with no warning & I have been charged the increased rate the last 3 months.
I called to see if there was a mistake and was told there was not. I signed a contract for my prior rate and did not sign a new contract for an increased nor was the increase communicated to me. In fact, 3ish months ago, I was assured my rate would stay the same. I have very little in the unit and would not have continued utilizing had I known I would be paying double.
When I asked why no one called or emailed to inform me of an increase, I was told they sent it in the mail. I have never received anything by mail from them. Any time there has been an issue, I have received a phone call. I asked if they have proof they mailed anything- I was told yes. I asked to be emailed that proof because nothing certified has come to my house and I certainly haven’t signed for any mail.
They offered one month credit which I declined. I was then told they would need to speak with their “big guy” because they only offer a one month credit to satisfy doubling a tenants’ rent without warning.
Otherwise, the units are clean and nice. I just prefer a company that values transparency and communication.

Front desk was easily reachable by phone without an automated system. Brandon was very helpful showing potential storage units, answering questions, registering, and getting me checked in. Easy access. Indoor storage units were new, clean, and had easy to operate doors.
