I would never rent from Easy Storage Space again.
Over the course of my rental, the monthly rate increased from approximately $79 to over $200 in about a year and a half. Despite paying those increased rates, I dealt with a significant mouse infestation that resulted in extensive damage to my belongings and inventory.
When I finally cleaned out my unit, I found mouse droppings throughout the space, dead mice, nesting material, and damage to rugs, fabrics, and other stored items. The condition of my belongings after being stored there was unacceptable.
In addition, whenever it rained, there was significant standing water surrounding the units. While the water did not enter my unit, it made accessing the unit difficult and transporting inventory and belongings in and out of storage frustrating and unsafe due to the slippery conditions and poor drainage.
Customer service was equally disappointing. I purchased a lock directly from the facility. One day the key became stuck in the lock and could not be removed. Staff had to cut the lock off, but I was told they could not do it immediately and I had to return later that evening. After purchasing the lock from them, dealing with the malfunction, and making multiple trips, I was then told that I was responsible for the broken lock. Their solution was that they would “throw it away” for me.
To make matters worse, when I was cleaning out mouse-contaminated belongings and disposing of items that had been ruined while stored at the facility, I asked if I could use their dumpster. I was told no because tenants were not permitted to use it. After paying thousands of dollars in storage fees and dealing with extensive rodent damage, I was left to figure out disposal on my own.
Between the constant rate increases, rodent infestation, damaged property, poor drainage around the units, and disappointing customer service, this was one of the worst storage experiences I have ever had. I spent thousands of dollars storing items that ultimately ended up damaged or destroyed.
I cannot recommend this facility.
