I purchased gravel for my driveway from Roxanna’s and not only were they MUCH cheaper than the other places I called but the delivery driver did an awesome job! My driveway is more of a few parking spots (wide but not deep) and he tailgated it to minimize my work. Extremely friendly service and couldn’t be more pleased! They were recommended to me when I was shopping around and I’m very glad I gave them a call. Highly recommend

This is an awesome company! Very friendly, helpful and timely. Staff makes sure I’m getting exactly what I need for my project. Delivery guys are very friendly and follows direction about where you want your material placed during drop off. I’ve used them for five years now and always have had a great experience. I’ve gotten dirt, sand and mulch. Same day delivery is great! Sometimes I’ve gotten it in just a hour or two from the time I called. Would highly recommend!

Ordered 10 yards of processed topsoil for delivery. The topsoil was clean, bonafide topsoil and the delivery was prompt and very reasonably priced. After moving and leveling the topsoil, I planted grass and it's growing extremely well. Also, I saw no signs of rocks, clay, mulch or any other filler. I'm very happy with the product and will probably order another 20-30 yards in the spring.
Frequently Asked Questions About Roxanna Mulch & Topsoil
What kind of soil should I use in my raised garden bed?
A blend of nutrient-rich topsoil, compost, and organic matter typically works best for raised garden beds. This mix provides excellent drainage, promotes healthy root development, and delivers the nutrients that vegetables and flowers need to flourish. Roxanna Mulch & Topsoil offers quality topsoil products that can help you create the ideal growing conditions for your garden.
What should I use as a paver base?
A compactable aggregate base, like limestone screenings or crushed stone, typically provides the best foundation for paver patios, walkways, and driveways. A well-prepared paver base prevents settling, shifting, and drainage problems while extending the lifespan of your hardscape installation.
How many tons are in a yard of gravel?
The weight of a cubic yard varies depending on the material. Most gravel weighs around 1.3 to 1.5 tons per cubic yard. Because weight can differ by product, it's recommended to ask your supplier for precise estimates when ordering materials for your project.
How much mulch do I need for my landscaping project?
To calculate how much mulch you'll need, measure the length and width of the area and choose your desired depth, usually 2 to 3 inches. One cubic yard of mulch covers roughly 100 square feet at a 3-inch depth. Our team at Roxanna Mulch & Topsoil is available to help you calculate the correct amount for your property.
What is the best type of mulch for landscaping?
The ideal mulch depends on your specific goals and landscape design. Hardwood mulch is favored for its durability and ability to suppress weeds, while colored mulch offers improved curb appeal. Organic mulches also help retain moisture and enhance soil health as they break down.
How often should mulch be replaced?
Most mulch should be refreshed once a year to maintain its appearance and performance. High-traffic areas, slopes, and beds exposed to harsh weather conditions may need additional mulch applied throughout the year.
What is the difference between topsoil and garden soil?
Topsoil is the uppermost layer of soil and is commonly used for grading, filling low areas, establishing lawns, and general landscaping applications. Garden soil is typically enriched with organic matter and nutrients specifically formulated to support flowers, vegetables, and other plants.
Can I use topsoil to level my yard?
Yes. Quality topsoil is often used to fill low areas, improve drainage, smooth out uneven spots, and prepare a yard for new grass seed or sod. Proper grading helps prevent standing water and improves the overall health of your lawn.
What type of gravel is best for driveways?
Crushed limestone and other compactable aggregates are among the most common driveway materials because they create a stable surface, offer good drainage, and withstand vehicle traffic well. The best option depends on your property's specific needs and desired look.
