I used Mawby’s for years when Bob and Mike ran the company, and their service was excellent\. Mike was the face of the business and clearly knew pools inside and out\. After Bob sold the company, Mike was let go, and the quality of service declined dramatically\. My pool stayed green for more than a month despite repeated calls and promises that the problem would be fixed\.
I finally contacted Mike, who had started his own pool company\. After just one visit, my pool was crystal clear—and it has stayed that way ever since\. A relative had experienced similar problems with Mawby’s and recommended Mike, so I wish I had made the switch sooner\.
Mawby’s simply isn’t the same without Mike\. If you want knowledgeable, dependable pool service, I highly recommend contacting him\. Mike was the brains behind Mawby’s\.
I know Angelo may respond by saying I’m not a customer in their system because the account is under my property manager’s email, but I live on River Road, one house from Fairmount\. Angelo has also told me that Mike was supposedly skipping stops\. I have cameras at my house and can say firsthand that Mike was there every week\. My spa was sparkling all winter until Mike left\.
What bothers me most is that Mawby’s is no longer the local, family\-owned company I used for years\. It is now owned by a company out of Chicago, and in my experience the level of knowledge, service, and personal attention is nowhere close to what it used to be\. It feels like the focus has shifted to dollar signs rather than taking care of customers and their pools\.
