Our inground pool was installed and complete at the end of August, 2024. We haven't had 2 full seasons yet. In that time, our pool pump has failed as well as 2 of their Simple Blue Salt Systems. They did replace one on warranty, didnt even try this time as I could replace for a Chlorinator elsewhere for less then they charge for labor alone. When you start reading about Blue Torrent(pump brand), and Simple Blue, you find out a few things. Blue Torrent is budget friendly garbage with terrible reliability. You will find the same for Simple Blue, also the fact salt systems are awful for these pools. So add it up, and you are talking 8k in equipment failures based on the cheap garbage Eastgate uses in their incredibly high priced inground packages. So not only were there many issues with their terrible plumbing and overall construction, now we find their equipment is used to run up their profit numbers and leave the customer footing bill after bill. You see, the equipment they install also requires you to go back to Eastgate to replace things. Cute, right? Well, now we simply had a chlorinator installed and a Pentair brand pool pump. Quality items that will LAST and allows us to be completely done with Eastgate. Their opening and closings are done by unhappy, disgruntled employees as well. And I get why they feel the way they do as it comes from the top down. To anyone reading, look elsewhere for ANY pool needs. This company absolutely does not value their customers, especially once they have your money.

We recently got a pool installed on 7/16/26 by eastgate pools. The installer was rude upon arrival and failed to tell me that the job was completed before he just left my property. Not one word was said to me that he was done or anything. He left me with no instructions on what to do next I had to call the company to find out what I was supposed to do. We were instructed to fill the pool and then have an electrician come out to do the electrical work for the pump. After filling our pool we noticed our filter hose was cracked and spraying out water, the staircase for the pool has two cracks in it, and the piece where the debris collects on the outside of the pool wall is leaking water from around it down the side of our pool. We contacted eastgate pools and they said someone will be in touch to have someone to come out and take a look tomorrow 7/28/26 even though Saturday 7/25/26 we were told someone would be out monday 7/27/26. Now we have to reschedule our electrician and postpone being able to use a brand new pool and pay extra for them to come back out to do the electric. There is also significant damage to our yard from their bobcat that we have deemed not normal for an installation process. Overall we have had horrible customer service and spent money on a pool that we cannot use still and the water has already turned green leaving us with having to spend extra money in chemicals to make the brand new pool usable. Also more money to fix the ruts and dig out the rest of our tree stump in our yard that they tore up in order to return our yard to normal. Not to mention we had piles of boxes and trash to clean up from the installation and if this is what a company deems professional then we have lost hope in professional businesses.

Frequently Asked Questions About Eastgate Pools & Spas
Do you sell Poly furniture?
Yes! At Eastgate Pools, we stock a HUGE selection of Berlin Gardens and Telescope Casual Poly furniture and we would love to show you the quality, the comfort, AND the great looks of both manufacturers. And if our huge selection still isn’t what you have in mind, we welcome special orders!
How often should I test my pool water?
It is recommended that you test your pool water a few (3-5) times per week. This will familiarize you with the slight differences in colors that will tell how your water is "doing." If you would like to compare your results with ours, we have state of the art water testing equipment that provides accurate results as well as helpful information such as safe ranges and proper adjustment dosages. We are always happy to help get you on the right track. Just bring us 12-16 ounces of pool water, taken from 18-24" below the surface, and we will be able to take it from there.
How large of an area do I need for an above ground pool?
When the installer levels the area where the above ground pool will be placed, they will level 3 feet more than the pool size in all directions. This means that a 12'x24' oval pool will require approximately 18'x30' to properly place it. A 24' diameter round above ground pool will require a 27' diameter to contain it.
Should I treat my pool any differently after heavy swimmer usage or heavy rain?
These two situations can cause an influx of organic and other waste products. They can tax your sanitizer's effectiveness. The best way to prevent cloudiness and algae growth is to increase your pool's sanitizer level by shocking the pool water, either with liquid chlorine or a granular shock treatment like our Simple Salt Shimmer 2. Ask your Eastgate Pools and Spas professional for details.
How do I make my above-ground pool maintenance free?
No above ground pool is 100% maintenance free. There are a number of automatic pool cleaners that your sales professional can tell you about. They will reduce your labor load greatly. Kick back and relax while an automatic pool cleaner keeps your pool nice and clean!
In terms of chemical maintenance, the Simple Salt System will make it much easier to stay on top of your above ground pool's water chemistry and cleanliness. It all starts with the mineral chamber, which dispenses minerals to help keep the water clean, safe, and clear. In addition to those minerals, Simple Salt Shimmer 2 is added weekly and Simple Salt Vivid (clarifying enzymes) are added once every two weeks to help keep the pool water soft, silky and clear! Overall, maintenance and work will be reduced substantially by this system. Be sure to ask your salesperson about the benefits of The Simple Salt System today.
How long should a spa last me?
While the upkeep of the spa and preventative maintenance affects this answer, the average spa will last approximately 10 to 15 years. We have witnessed many spas, however, that have far exceeded that estimate.
