- MMMr MJLJun 25, 20261.0Disappointing experience. Liner started sagging one day after install. They didn’t secure the deep end Light Assy properly while the pool was filling which caused it and the wiring to fall in the water. Pool light has always worked flawlessly including me checking it day before they arrived for liner install and it worked fine. Light stopped working after their install. They said I needed new bulb. I got them one, didn’t fix it. They then said my outlet and GFI was bad. Ok- I paid Electrician to replace outlet and GFI. Still didn’t work. They then tell me I need new light assy. Trying to be reasonable, I told them I will buy a new light assy if they will install it. Mike said Ok. Well, since I had already paid them in full, they were too busy to come back and finish what they were supposed to after two months. Mike stopped responding to texts from asking when he could come do the light. We paid another pool company (Ty the Pool Guy was great!!) and we cannot recommend Academy Pool to anyone because once they collect the money, $5000 in my case, they move on. Had to pay Electrician $150 for parts and labor and another pool company $200 labor to install light and purchase a new light assy $500 because of their poor work quality.
