If I could give two seperate reviews in one, Sales Specialist Jeff Hardin would receive a 5+ star rating! He was the only helpful person I encountered buying a new washer. He helped me with my original purchase that I set up for delivery. He made a special note to try for a delivery time after 4 pm. When I received my time frame it was 2:30-6:30pm. I understand specific time requests cannot always be granted so I understood the time frame I was given. What I could not understand was by 7pm on the day of delivery I had no washer and no calls or updates. So I called and spoke to the customer service desk asking for updates. I was originally told by the lady (I wish I had been able to get her name) that the drivers had attempted delivery but no one was home. Which couldn't be possible, considering I had taken a half day off of work to meet the time window. So she called the delivery drivers who had SUPPOSEDLY stopped by my home and she gave me a call back. When I received my call back, she said they had stopped and tried to call me. Unfortunately, that was not true, instead I sat at home, missing pay, waiting for a delivery that never came. She then told me my only option was to schedule another delivery day with an 8am-8pm time frame. I told her in the nicest way I could that I simply could not take another day off work to sit around and hope the drivers did their job this time. She then told me quite rudely that "I could just get a refund then". So I told her to do that, and to process it while I was still on the phone. Two charges came back to my card and I was done with that part. Then came the next day when I realized I had not received my full amount of money back. I went in person to talk to someone at the service desk. The man working (I also wish I had taken his name) essentially told me there was nothing he could do to help because it was an issue with my bank. And when I tried to explain that didn't make sense when both of my other returns transactions had already been processed with the money back in my account, he acted snarky and said there was nothing he could do to help. This brings me to today's (9/26/26) interaction. I still needed a washer, so I found someone to graciously help me with an in store pickup. I once again dealt with Jeff Hardin, who was very kind in helping me repurchase. He was sincere in his apologies about my experience, and asked if I had received all of my money back. When I told him I had in fact not, he took it upon himself to check it out on the computer, double checking with me about my original purchase price and the money I had received back. He even went above and beyond to go up to the service desk and get my other charge put back on my card. All in all, the Athens Lowe's store gets a very poor 2 star rating (generous) but Jeff Hardin gets 5!

My wife and I went shopping for deck and step material. We found all we needed and extra stuff as well lol. It is nice to be able to shop and load your own material. Also get some assistance if needed easily. The staff are always helpful and pleasant... Happy we have a Lowe's in our town.

Shopping for a major renovation can be overwhelming, but working with Lowe’s of Athens Store #1866 was an absolute breeze!
Before we even stepped foot in the store, our designer, Dillon, had already worked ahead of time with our contractor, JGW Remodeling, to lay out possibilities, draft designs, and narrow down materials. Because of that prep work, all we needed was a single visit to Lowe's to select our colors and wood finishes—and that was it!
Dillon was exceptionally thorough and meticulous, taking the time to explain every detail of the products, options, and overall process so we felt completely confident in our choices.
When it came time to finalize the order, checking out was quick and seamless. To top it off, the Store Manager, Alex, personally came over to thank both our contractor and us for our business, which was an impressive touch.
We left Lowe's of Athens feeling like we got a great price and feeling truly excited for our new kitchen to arrive. If you're planning a kitchen remodel, do yourself a favor: head to Lowe’s in Athens, OH, and ask for Dillon!

How do I place an order with a tax-exempt account?
Visit the customer service desk in store to apply for a tax-exempt account.
It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
