I lost my father in Iraq when I was very young. He served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, I tried to use my military ID for a discount at Lowe’s. I was told I couldn’t use it in the store and had to register online instead. I sat in the parking lot and completed the registration because it stated that immediate military family members were eligible. After going through the entire process, I was told I was not eligible. As the child of a fallen service member, this was incredibly disappointing and disheartening. Military families, especially the families of those who gave their lives in service to our country, deserve to be treated with respect. I have already contacted Lowe’s customer support to express my concerns, and I hope they will reconsider this policy. Until then, I have chosen not to shop at Lowe’s. I expected better from a company that says it supports the military community.

I just went here today with my grandma to get some blinds cut. We requested assistance and noticed that all the employees were busy. We patiently waited for someone to help us, and after a while, no one had still assisted us. We had asked a nearby employee (Gary) if he could help us and he replied shortly that he couldn’t, and followed with ‘I can get someone to help you.’ He then called on his walkie that we needed help. After we continued to wait a little, I watched him make a comment to a customer and another employee that “I need some help over here—she’s (referring to my grandma) gonna beat me up.” Sir. All we did was ask for help. We weren’t hostile or aggressive in the slightest. Another employee, Holly helped us. She was a lovely person and was very helpful and kind.
I found Gary to be extremely rude and very unprofessional and I would not want to come here again.

We used to prefer this Lowe's location over the Home Depot up the street specifically because of the better customer service, but unfortunately, that has completely reversed.
During our recent visit, we had to wait a significant amount of time for assistance. There was one older gentleman running around like crazy trying to help absolutely everyone. When we asked him to cut something for us, his frustration made him come off a little rude at first—though it was obvious he was just completely overwhelmed and the frustration wasn't actually directed at us. Meanwhile, multiple younger employees were strolling by without a care in the world, completely ignoring the customers and walking right by.
Later, we needed an item retrieved from a locked case. A female worker told us to "hang on" and someone would be around. When we told her we had already been waiting for a while and no one had come aroind, she reluctantly said she would call someone.
It is incredibly frustrating to spend so much time just waiting around for basic help, especially while watching one or two employees drown under the workload while the rest of the floor staff acts like they can't be bothered to talk to a customer.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
