- SGSabina GrittaAug 20, 20262.0I made a reservation at the stated price. When an employee called me to obtain my credit card information, I was ready to provide it, but the phone connection was extremely poor and kept cutting out. Eventually, the call was disconnected, and she did not call me back until the following day. Unfortunately, we experienced the same communication problems again. On the third day, a male employee called and informed me that the prices had changed and that the price of the unit had increased to almost double the original amount. I explained what had happened and that I had been ready to pay from the very first call. He told me he would speak with his supervisor and call me back, but he never did. The following day, another employee called and told me that they could only honor a quoted price for 48 hours. I explained that the delay was not my fault, since I had been ready and willing to provide my payment information on the first day. When she told me I would have to pay the higher price, I became upset and told her that I was considering reporting the matter to the Better Business Bureau. After speaking with her supervisor, she agreed to honor the original price. However, instead of receiving the unit I originally reserved, I was given a smaller unit. l accepted the smaller unit only because I am in the process of moving and urgently need the storage space. Nevertheless, I am very disappointed with the way this situation was handled. I made the reservation in good faith, was prepared to pay immediately, and do not believe I should have been disadvantaged because of communication problems that were beyond my control.
