Absolutely terrible experience. I purchased materials through Lowe’s Yonkers for a job I had scheduled TODAY, only to find out the items are not actually in stock. Their system shows availability, I paid for it, and now I’m left without the materials I need to get the job done. This cost me an entire day of work — time I cannot
get back.
No heads-up, no call, nothing. Just a wasted trip and a job that can’t be done. If you’re a contractor or anyone who depends on having materials ready when you need them, do NOT trust this store’s inventory. They will take your money and leave you hanging.
Complete failure in organization, communication, and basic customer service. Zero stars if I could.

I walked into Lowe’s at Ridge Hill, completely lost—no receipts, no direction, and feeling overwhelmed as a new homeowner. That’s when Steven Anderson approached me, and everything changed. Steven didn’t just help—he became my guide. He walked me through every detail: doors, frames, knobs, materials, and colors—explaining everything with patience and expertise. He gave me ideas I never would have thought of and even took the time to discuss pricing and options. He stayed with me for well over an hour—even after his shift ended—just to ensure I had everything I needed.
What blew me away even more was when he encouraged me to open a Lowe’s credit card—something I’m usually against—and I got an amazing deal. Every time I return, I ask for Steven. I had purchased a new stove. Paid for installation and tow away fee. Associate advised the installation would take 2 days. He also stated that I do not have to pay for extra fee since I do not live in the 5 bouroughs. Received a call 3 days later demanding I pay an extra $300 for installation fee or they will not deliver. I had already paid for the item, installation fee, and tow away fee. Have the receipt. This is corporate business strategy at it's best trying to extort money from their customers. This is FRAUD!!! This is ILLEGAL and prohibited by the Federal Trade Commission Act.
Called corporate and they just had the store manager call me back stating the same thing. It's a game corporate likes to play to extort money. Their retail business must be that bad that they wanted to charge me $500 in installation fees. This is absurd. Don't they understand the consumer's have options where we purchase appliances. Can't demand a customer to pay $500 in installation fee after I already paid for the installtion fee at the register finalizing the sale.
Taking this issue up with the the appropriate agency, Federal Trade Commission. Don" they, Lowe's, realize that their sales and tactics strategy with the hidden fee's is illegal. It's always something with Lowe's!!!
