I wish I could give a good rating for this store. Ordered 50 paving stones, 40 bags of black mulch, and 2 bags of lawn soil. Delivery on time but missing 15 bags of the mulch. Delivery driver tells us to accept the order and take up the issue with the missing mulch with the store. In hind sight we should have denied the whole order and sent it back until they sent the right items but I wanted to at least start a large outdoor project. I have been calling corporate and the store numerous times, have been told it will be delivered, have been hung up on without even saying hello more times than I can count. At this point its more personal than money related. I haven’t been able to complete my yard project for 3 weeks now. After my third trip to the store to physically talk to a human they discover that for the second redelivery they had the wrong address. It’s almost comical at this point. I was even told, maybe I can come and take these items in my car. If I had the size vehicle that would allow me to take 15 bags of mulch I wouldn’t have placed a large delivery order. Now supposed to be delivered on Friday, but I don’t have high hopes. In the future, refuse any delivery that is incorrect and demand they send the correct items. Also go directly to the store and have them show you what they’re doing on the computer. Corporate and the store does not communicate at all and give you the run around. High hopes , LOWes expectations……..

Installation of door and window was completed on time. However, the door had a guarantee and when it malfunctioned, the contractor no longer worked for Lowe's. So, Lowe's scheduled the appointment with NJA Remodeling to fix it several weeks in the future. Then the guy calls about the door and says he can't park his truck on my block so therefore he won't fix it!

The Customer Service here is pretty awful. I pre-ordered several bags of mulch for. Curbside pickup. There really isn’t any curbside pickup and when pulling up to the garden center seeking assistance I was told someone would help me and nobody ever came. I was at a different Lowe’s the day before in Chester NY and they were very helpful.

I ordered 50 bags of Scotts Premium Dark Brown mulch (1.5 cf) and paid $69 for same-day delivery on May 9th. Instead, I received 50 bags of Sta-Green red mulch (2 cf)—a completely different product and significantly cheaper ($2.50 vs. $4.98 per bag). How does a mistake that obvious get approved and delivered?
To make matters worse, the order was delivered to a previous address that auto-filled during checkout—my mistake for not catching it. However, the driver still left the delivery even after being told by the building superintendent that it was incorrect and shouldn’t be dropped there.
Trying to take responsibility for the address issue, I went to retrieve the mulch myself, will ing to make multiple trips. That’s when I realized the product itself was wrong—not even close to what I ordered.
From there, the experience only got worse. The local store didn’t answer the phone. The 1-800 number was no help. Because the order was delivered to an address I no longer live at, I was told a return couldn’t be processed—I would have to haul everything back to the store myself (in the rain, in multiple overloaded trips) just to return it and then get the correct product.
I acknowledge I missed the outdated address, but Lowe’s made a major fulfillment error and placed 100% of the burden on me to fix it. There was no effort to take ownership or make things right.
This is exactly what’s wrong with large retailers—rigid policies that override basic customer service and common sense. I’ve avoided Home Depot for similar reasons, but after this experience, I’m seriously reconsidering whether either big-box store values its customers anymore.

I went to Lowes at the Ridge Hill mall to return an item that I purchased in NJ, the item I bought was missing a part. I could not go back to NJ and came to this store. The associate who helped me had to get manager involved (Craig and Spencer) and both were extremely helpful! They found solution to my request and saved me a trip back to Lowes in NJ. I truly appreciated Craig’s customer service and the manager who did not hesitate to fund solution to my request. Thank you for having people who care and understand clients.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
