  Technician missed first appointment and was late to the rescheduled appointment. Far worse, he dismissed my concern there was a flog or drainage issue with washing machine even though the primary symptom was standing water and overly wet clothes. Instead his “diagnosis” was a $1700 fix involving the spin function. Instead I spent 3 hours of my time researching online, finding helpful videos and unclogging the partially clogged stoppage filter. Machine now works perfectly. He could have easily looked into my suggestion but he chose to disregard my observations. Appliance doctor’s “technician” was inexperienced and all too willing to guess at what the problem was. Not surprisingly diagnosing a very expensive fix that actually would not have fixed the problem at all. They charged two appearance fees when they only showed up for one 15-minute diagnosis of two different appliances. I’m considering submitting a complaint to NYC, that’s how egregious the lack of expertise and professionalism was.

  I had a condensation issue with my freezer which was dripping water down into fridge. Josh was very polite and efficient in his refrigerator repair. He clearly explained to me what repairs were done.

  Anthony was FANTASTIC!! Polite and knowledgeable. Got the job done quick. I felt confident that the job was done efficiently. He took the time to explain everything and even taught me a few things about my dishwasher. Would highly recommend. Thanks Anthony for a job well done!!!

  Josh was wonderful. Came to assess the problem the day it broke, got the part quickly and fixed it next day. He also took the time to explain to me what happened and to understand how to maintain and prevent future damage. Also all around really nice guy! Thanks, Josh!

  The technician was efficient and the dryer is working again, but I was very disappointed with the price. I was charged $160 just for the service call. In my experience, that type of fee often goes toward the parts and labor, but in this case I was charged another $265 on top of it to replace a dryer belt. The actual repair took about 20 minutes and involved replacing one rubber piece. So I ended up paying $425 total for a relatively simple repair. I understand that businesses have overhead and need to charge for their work, but I felt the final price was excessive for what was done. The technician did the job quickly and efficiently, and I have no complaint about the workmanship. I just wish I had known beforehand that the $160 service call would be completely separate from the repair cost. If you’re considering Appliance Doctor, I’d recommend asking for the total repair price upfront so you know what you’re getting into.
