- HCHerm CardJun 26, 20171.0Unprofessional behavior by owner and laborers forced us to terminate the arrangement. They had arrived unexpectedly, with us not at home, began work and removed three trees and some flowers that were to have been left in place...the owner then attempted to rationalize this by saying it was "better that way," though that was not his choice to make. The owner had failed to give us a contract, disregarded our request to call in advance of the work to clarify what was to be done, and disregarded our request (accompanied by photos) of a specific plant we wanted. An employee stated that he assumed we were home because there was a car in the driveway. The owner allowed his employees to argue with us regarding the matter, and refused to speak to us without them present. To their credit, upon being terminated, they cleaned up a substantial amount of the remaining debris from the work they had done. Unfortunately for us, and for their reputation, their shoddy performance has seriously impaired the look of the front of our house that took 24 years to cultivate.
