I placed an order before 1 p.m. after Lowes.com promised same-day delivery for the items I ordered. I needed the materials for a job starting early the following morning, so I waited all day. The order remained stuck at “Working on it,” with no delivery tracking or meaningful update.
After contacting Lowe’s, I finally learned at 7:30 p.m. that my order had been routed to a store approximately 30 miles from my address. No wonder the order was never fulfilled—Lowe’s routed a same-day delivery to a store 30 miles away despite having two locations within five miles of my home. The store didn't even have the decency to contact me and inform me that the order would not be fulfilled.
I canceled the order, and my entire job is now delayed because Lowe’s failed to fulfill its same-day delivery promise. The order included plywood—a basic product stocked by virtually every home-improvement center. Why was it routed so far away?
I cannot adequately express my aggravation and disappointment with this experience. Lowe’s should not offer same-day delivery when its fulfillment system cannot realistically provide it.

I visited that store in the morning on Sunday. Unfortunately, the store is "half" dead: people traffic and (IT IS MOST IMPORTANT) the goods selections is outdated. Looks, I visited back to the past of last century, like 1970- 1980, because display model styles for bathrooms belong to museum.
