- SLShannon Lynn3 days ago2.0It's well known that HL does not label their aisles so that customers are forced to waste time wandering around hunting for items. When asking employees for assistance they purposely give vague general directions and acted as though I was a nuisance. I asked a girl where felt was and she looked at me dumbfounded. She seriously did not know what felt even was, let alone where it was located!!! When checking out, I was the second one in line when the cashier closed the register and walked away! The person in front of me was livid. I will credit one male employee there who was extremely helpful and went out of his way to assist me.

The only thing giving this place any rating is Angel who was the only manager that was genuinely helpful during my visit. I initially asked Wendy for assistance, but she told me she was too busy to help and that I should find someone who “knew better.” Considering she was wearing a store manager name tag, her response was especially disappointing. Sergio, the cashier, also failed to apply the advertised sale and charged me full price. When I noticed the mistake on my receipt and brought it to his attention, he responded with an attitude. Beyond the poor customer service, the store itself was a disaster. Boxes and carts filled with merchandise were blocking the aisles, and the floors were sticky, dusty, and clearly not being properly maintained. The cluttered aisles also made the store difficult to navigate and potentially inaccessible for customers with disabilities or mobility limitations. I have visited other locations, and this was by far the worst. I recommend going to the Bay Shore or Garden City location instead. I hope the district manager addresses both the condition of this store and the conduct of its staff.
