  Got a quick tour and the site manager here was really great to work with. I'd like to thank portia for assisting me with signing up and the ridgewood manager for being courteous. Very easy set up.

  I’ve had a great experience with Storage Post at the Ridgewood location. The facility is clean, secure, and well-maintained, which gives me peace of mind knowing my belongings are stored in a safe environment. Everything feels organized and cared for, and the property is kept in excellent condition. The Ridgewood location has definitely exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Storage Post to anyone looking for a clean, safe, and reliable place to store their belongings. Huge Thank you to Ian for all your hard work and help!

  If you are a woman — do not go here alone or without protection. Today, was the second time I was made uncomfortable while attending to my storage unit. A man stood near me at the elevator and continued to stare at me — when I asked him if he needed something — he started acting erratic. Cursing and threatening me. I could not get through to the front desk, so I ended up calling NYPD. No one should feel unsafe. No apology from Storage Post about the incident — no apology from the front desk attendant after the incident. I will be removing my belongings from this place ASAP.

  My rent at Storage Post went from $533/month in September 2024 to $859/month by June 2026 — a 61% increase in 21 months. The latest increase alone was 36%, from $631 to $859. This is not a normal inflationary adjustment; it is an aggressive, predatory, and profoundly insulting pricing strategy aimed at existing customers who are effectively captive due to the expense and inconvenience of moving. I have formally asked management to reverse the latest increase and credit back the excess rent already paid. I will update this review with the outcome. Update: Management declined to reverse the increase, stating that $859/month is still a “sub-market” rate. I am now referring the matter to NYC consumer-protection authorities. Update 2: With regards to the generic template response below from the business, no Storage Post employee or representative has offered any resolution or compromise. The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection has recently established restitution fund after a legal settlement with a similar business over these "predatory and exploitative practices." I encourage other tenants to file a formal complaint against Storage Post at https://www.nyc.gov/site/dca/consumers/file-complaint.page

  I’m really upset, flustered, stressed and perturbed honestly. I went in and checked into my unit in person today and was told the lock on my unit would be removed and another one would be put on and the code would be messaged to me. Then later after I filled my uhaul full of my belongings I arrived at my unit with a lock on it that requires a key to be accessed, not a code. My uhaul was due to be returned so I had to return it full of my belongings and don’t know what to do as it’s reserved by someone else in the morning and there are no other uhauls available anywhere as it’s the end of the month. I don’t know what to do. PLEASE REMOVE MY LOCK FIRST THING UPON OPENING.
