My husband and I went to Lowes to spend quite a bit of money. We were looking to buy, Refrigerator, a New Stove, Dishwasher, a Washer and dryer, new shower an bathroom. Nope could not find one person that could help us.
We took our business to Home Depot.

Bad experience today. Bought 3 bags of sand. Cashier said it was discounted 50 percent but she couldn't override the price. Asked for a manager and nobody came. Was on line for over 20 minutes until this was resolved. My disabled wife was in panic in car. I expected to be out in fewer than 3 minutes and the whole operation took nearly a half hour.

Ordered roughly $2,500 worth of garden supplies, paid for delivery. Within the delivery instructions, it was noted that an adult must be present to receive the shipment. My husband took the day off to receive the shipment on Wed 5/6, the delivery never showed. The initial shipment was delayed because the inventory was incorrect for one of my items. I tried calling the store, was put on a silent hold for over 30 mins. Drove to the store to speak with a manager who corrected the inventory issue. Delivery was rescheduled for Sat 5/9, lowes did not deliver this day either. I called the store multiple times, was put on multiple silent holds, never spoke to anyone. Drove to the store, spoke to a different manager who said it was out of their hands, they had to ship the order complete and a different item was back ordered. I called the 800 number, a customer service rep said the store marked my order ship complete at my request, probably to save on labor and fuel. The 800 number rep rescheduled my in stock items for a 5/11 delivery and said the backordered item would arrive 5/13. The 5/11 delivery did not show, another day of missed work. Finally we got our shipment on 5/13 after multiple rescheduled delivery attempts. Lowes offered a $50 gift card for the inconvenience. Good luck if you need anything shipped freight out of this location.

I hate leaving reviews like this, but people need to understand what rural customers are dealing with right now.
I recently purchased 4 pallets of mulch and 2 pallets of soil from Lowe's for our annual community perennial swap in the central Adirondacks. I specifically chose to support the Queensbury location instead of ordering elsewhere.
Unfortunately, the experience has been incredibly frustrating.
I have now made FOUR separate 3-hour round trips from Long Lake, NY to Queensbury just trying to get answers because:
* the phones ring endlessly,
* or someone answers and transfers you to an extension that also rings endlessly.
On top of that, I’ve now lost THREE work days waiting on failed deliveries with little to no communication or resolution.
For rural customers, this is not a minor inconvenience. We are not 10 minutes from the store. A failed delivery or lack of communication can wipe out an ENTIRE day of work.
Between lost income, travel time, fuel, and repeated trips, I’ve now invested well over 15 hours trying to resolve something that should have been straightforward from the start.
I understand staffing challenges exist everywhere right now, but communication and ACCOUNTABILITY still matter. Customers spending thousands of dollars should not have to physically drive to the store repeatedly just to speak with someone.
I truly wanted to support the local store, but this experience has made that very difficult.
