If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I purchased a grill on Sunday, August 9, with a promised delivery date of August 13. Unfortunately, I received a call at 6:30 a.m. this morning from the store manager informing me that the delivery has been delayed until Monday. This is extremely disappointing, as I have a BBQ planned for this weekend and specifically purchased the grill based on the original delivery date.
At 7:00 a.m., I called the store and asked to speak with the manager, Andrea. I was told she was busy but would return my call within an hour. After waiting 2.5 hours without hearing back, I called again at 9:20 a.m. and spoke with Ryan. Ryan was polite and as helpful as he could be, but when I requested to speak with a manager, I was told that both managers on duty were busy and there was no estimate of when they would be available.
I agreed to wait, assuming it would be around 30 minutes. Instead, I remained on hold for an hour and never spoke with a manager. At this point, I can only assume I was forgotten. so I called back again. After calling a third time, I waited an additional 16 minutes just to speak with a representative. The lack of communication and follow-up was incredibly frustrating and only added to an already disappointing situation.
As someone who works in management myself, I find this level of customer service unacceptable. Not only was my delivery delayed at the last minute, but my attempts to address the issue were met with poor communication and a lack of follow-through.
I even asked if the store could credit my account so I could purchase the grill from another Lowe's location that had inventory available. Ryan informed me that this could not be done, and no alternative solution was offered.
This has been a terrible customer experience from start to finish. Because of how I was treated, I will not be shopping at the Poughkeepsie Lowe's again. Customers deserve better communication, accountability, and service than what I received today.

Absolutely horrible experience! Went to pickup a $250 air compressor today and the lady employee at the front was rude and talked to me like I was a baby asking me if I saw where the pickup sign was and if I could see it. I said yes and she started pointing away toward the sign without acknowledging my question. I had placed an online order for a Metabo HPT air compressor and I understand it wasn’t ready when I got to the store but I asked if I could grab it off the shelf and they just check the pickup out. She rudely said, “how long did you place it? Oh a half hour ago, yeah it won’t be ready for awhile”. I’m a longtime pro member and spend a lot of money at Lowe’s however I will be taking my business to the orange competitor. I will never shop at the location again and I feel like I always have issue while visiting this location with rude employees. Train your employees for customer service snd maybe you will retain your customers. I will be canceling my pro membership as well and going to Home Depot from now on. Extremely disappointed.
