  City Mattress in Penfield has some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced. The pricing process feels unnecessarily difficult and inconsistent, and it seems to depend heavily on which salesperson you happen to get. I understand that mattress pricing involves some negotiation, but when you tell a salesperson what your budget is, they should be willing to work with you and show you reasonable options within that range. Instead, I felt judged and talked down to. When I explained that certain mattresses were outside of my price range, rather than trying to find a comparable option, the response was essentially to show me mattresses that were dramatically cheaper and completely different in quality. The entire experience felt less like someone trying to help me find the right mattress and more like someone trying to make a sale based on how much they thought I could spend. I’ve never experienced this level of condescending, inconsistent customer service at a mattress store. Management really needs to take a serious look at the sales staff and the way customers are being treated. Customers should feel respected regardless of their budget. I’ve purchased plenty of beds from the Greece location and never had an issue only here!

  Great store with a large selection of mattress options and materials/builds/prices. Cheryl took great care in understanding what I was looking for in a mattress and provided a great deal of helpful information on the options available so I could make an informed decision. She also helped me think through the box spring height I and even suggested I go back home and check our assumptions and measurements. She was very friendly, patient and attentive. I never felt pressured to make a purchase decision. After I bought a mattress she worked with me on a delivery date and explained all fees and warranty/exchange details. I highly recommend this store and Cheryl to others. A fantastic service experience and great quality products!

  Great service, knowledgeable low key approach. Juan and Wesley were very helpful at delivery time. Overall a great experience.
